Where do I get the best price for an old book?
I can't believe I found this book, first printing, fantastic condition, AND the author signed it! I checked out the website, www.abebooks.com, and there are 2 of the same priced at almost $1,000 each (with no signature). I'd love to keep this book but really feel it may be better off with someone who would take care of it, and I could really use the cash anyway.
I'll take it around to all the antique stores, bookstores, museum, universities, etc., but is there someplace else I should be looking to get the best price?

Abe's is good. You can try ebay but it may be out of the median range of ebayers income.

Maybe my answer will be not useful to you, but I found old and good books at the cheapest prices all along the Seine, in Paris (Europe-France) at these little antique stores.

Try Ebay or maybe Amazon.com. They have a lot of used booksellers on there who would probably pay a good price for a book like that.
