2001 dodge neon?

I have been to two very good machanics and they can't find anything wrong with my car. The car has been on the computer twice and the computer says its nothings wrong. The problem is there is something wrong. Anyone who rides in it can tell that. The car seems like she wants to stall. Its like she misses a beat or idles low. Does anyone have this problem or have suggestions? How can I fix her if no one can find the problem? I've been to the forums. I see many others have my problem but no solutions. Thanks

I don't care if its a cheap car. With gas prices at the price they are I'm loving my neon!!!

    That's because those cars are CRAP! That's why they're so cheap. Sell it.

    Have you taken it or talked to a Dodge dealer? If this is a common problem then a reputable dealer with a good service manager should be able to help. Stalling usually or low idle could involve many aspects,like fuel system,electrical or even an exhaust/oxygen sensor or catalytic converter issue.Remember to always ask a REPUTABLE dealer.If they are any good they will be able to help.

    Good luck. People may think they are junk but i wonder why they sold so many cars for so many years??????????

    The problem with putting the car on a computer is if there is something wrong with the PCM it is difficult to detect. All the data you get from a scan tool is as it is interpreted by the PCM. It is possible the PCM needs to be reflashed to solve this problem. Some aftermarket shops may have access to that information but a dealership definitely will.

    Tweak your idle up just a smidgen.. it should take care of your hesitation.. my 1998 does the same thing and use a higher grade of gas maybe twice in a row..

    One - try a service, new plugs, oil and filters solve a lot of problems.

    two, whilst the air filter is off get the mechanic to pour in some injector cleaner, costs about $5 but you will get that back in improved mileage
