Ty Law to the Chiefs. Does that vault the Chiefs into the Super Bowl contender category?
Pro Bowl cornerback Ty Law agreed to a five-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Law will rejoin Herman Edwards, who coached him with the New York Jets last year, when the veteran came back from a severe foot injury and led the NFL with 10 interceptions.

Nice deal for them, but since 1 person can, and the remaining 10 cant wrap up (they need to re-learn the fundamentals), it's gonna keep them from stopping runners or anyone from getting valuable yards. But this will keep them from the superbowl(playoffs) if they've fixed this ,this season then they definitly have some weapons.

Ty law vaulted totally vaulted the Jets last year into Super Bowl contenders!! Oh wait , the Chiefs defense havent been good since when?? Oh yeah the Deron Cherry/Derrick Thomas days, so since history has a pattern of repeating itself the answer is NO NO NO NO NO NO, the Chiefs are not Super Bowl contenders in the AFC!!

Mr Law will fit into the scheme of things in KC and definitely contribute to a defense that needs help. This is a huge move for the Chiefs as they can use his leadership and experience to bring the younger players on. KC can still upgrade the D front seven and I believe they will. The Chiefs have been touted as a possible super bowl team and despite the critics and other AFC West fans that support their team regardless, there's not too many teams in the NFL that like seeing the chiefs on their schedule. Chiefs - Super Bowl? I think we may know by week 5.

Without a doubt. The Chiefs have the #1 offense in football and with Herm's influence on the D, Kansas City will be playing into January this season. Their defense hasn't had so much talent since 1998 - Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson, Jared Allen, Kendrell Bell, Kawika Mitchell, Sammy Knight, Pat Surtain and Ty Law.

I think this is a huge accusation for us. we have the no. 15 pick last year with Johnson at line baker he is going to be a great player, tabo whatever his last name is will be an improvement. Jerad Allen had 11 sack last year, I think Ty law shutting down the wide out will have a huge in pack on the line.
Instead of 35 to 28 games I think we will be more like 28 to 14 team.
2006 will put us in the top half of the defense. The offense is a giving. I fell sorry for the rest of the AFC west teams, cause we got -em. I predict a 12 and 5 season for the chiefs this year.

Well...it certainly helps their defense a lot....a lot!! But super bowl....with San Diego and Denver in the same division...Kansas City is going to need more than Ty Law to get them to the super bowl. They have the offense to do it...without a doubt....but some parts of the defense need work...like the run defense...remember what Tiki did to them in December? They can't be playing like that if they want to win a super bowl....if they improve there....well...we shall see...but right now I'm picking Denver for the AFC...sorry guy :(

I believe so 100%... It jsut depends if the Chiefs are ready to compete for the division and if they are healthy when the playoffs come along.
KC's offense has be a domintating force for years, it is their defense that is lacking, and with Ty Law, they may be ready for a trip to the BIG GAME.

Sadly I have to agree with most of the others. No, Chiefs are a few yrs short of having a team to make the SB.

I think this definitely makes a good team even better. Usually the Chiefs can score points. They just have a hard time stopping the other team from scoring more than them. This should help tremendously.

between the funniest exchange into this guy who exchange into approximately 60, he gave the impact of a homeless individual yet definitely had a place to stay. He of course had some psychological themes (yet i'm no longer making relaxing of that). He walked all around and appeared completely happy. I observed him in a delightful's ice cream parlor sooner or later sitting on the counter. He exchange into ingesting an ice cream cone, had it throughout his face, moustache, beard, and it in basic terms appeared so lovable with the aid of fact he did no longer care, he exchange into in basic terms lovin' it!
