asp, php, coldfusion, and so forth are languages that let you interact with a database from inside your website. They require a few things:

* They are seperate software packages that you need (on your computer) to do development.

1st U must know HTML well, and know the basic information about web developing, E.G: the meaning of client side or server side etc. Then u should decide which one(ASP or PHP) u wanna learn. PHP is just like a complete programming language! So U'd better know the basic structures in computer programming, For/Do/While/If blocks etc. If u wanna learn ASP, U'd better know VB (VBScript) or maybe JavaScript well, So u cn do anything u want then!... If u know C/C++ I suggest u to learn PHP too.

ANYWAYS, I think you shoud 1st try to learn the basic things like HTML and a lil bit scripting, Try to make pages, try to use CSS and HTML together and when u learned it well, u cn easily use PHP and HTML or ASP and HTML together!...
