What's the middle name of John J. Rambo?

Well, that is an answer that probably no one will ever truly know. The name John J. was added for the movie. In the novel written by David Morrell, the character only had the last name..Rambo.

In the authors words, " In my novel, the character had only the last name. Later, the scriptwriters for the movie gave him a first name "John", as in the song about a returning WWII veteran, "When Johnny Comes Marching Home". "
