Die Aufgabe laute wie folgt:
Rewrite the following sentences using a Participle Construction.

1. As he looked at the sign, the driver didn`t brake.
2. As he didn`t have any money, John couldn`t afford a taxi.
3. As she wasn`t asked her opinion, Sarah felt offended.
...
usw.

Könnt ihr mir einen Satz als Beispiel geben oder erklären wie man das am Besten macht?
Hab momentan keine richtige Idee wie ich das angehen soll! Vielen Dank im Voraus :-)

Eine Partizipialkonstruktion ersetzt den Nebensatz. Dabei wird das Verb des Nebensatzes in ein Gerund (ing-Form) umgeformt. die Konjunktion und das Pronomen entfällt:

1. As he LOOKED at the sign, the driver didn't brake -> LOOKING at the sign, the driver didn't break.
2. As he DIDN'T HAVE any money, John couldn't afford a taxi -> NOT HAVING any money, John couldn't afford a taxi.
3. As she WASN'T asked her opinion, Sarah felt offended -> NOT BEING asked her opinion, Sarah felt offended.

Dies funktioniert aber nur, wenn Subjekt von Haupt- und Nebensatz identisch sind.

Klingt sehr hochtrabend, bedeutet aber nur, dass Du Formulierungen verwenden sollst, in denen Du das Partizip I benutzt.

im Deutschen gebildet: Stamm + -d , z.B.: spielen-spielend, sitzen-sitzend
im Englischen: Stamm + -ing; z. B. sit-sitting, play-playing

Man wÃ¼rde also sagen: 

Kein Geld habend konnte John das Taxi nicht bezahlen. (man spart den untergeordneten Nebensatz)

Not having money........

usw.
