SO my dad & step mum have been together since i can remember. as a kid i lived with my mum & went to my dad s on weekends. the house is small & as i only went on weekends i didnt have my own bedroom, there was a little single mattress in their room that they would pull out from under their bed for me to sleep on. they would ALWAYS have sex when i was in the room. i was about 5 or 6 when they did. obviously they would send me to bed hours early & i guess they thought i would sleep through it but i ******* didnt. not once. i was always awake with a pillow over my head. eventually, when my mum got addicted to heroin, she would also have reeaally loud sex with random blokes a few rooms over. this always really upset me and i would run around slamming doors and crying. now i live with my dad full time & they still have really loud sex (they know i m awake).

im legal to have sex myself now, though, so i guess they don t care, or assume im mature enough to ignore them. but it still makes me REALLY angry when i hear it. i know its natural, theyre happy & whatever, but i was a 5 year old kid. is it possible it s ****** me up & put some kinda weird mental sexual barriers up for me? i m terrified to get close to anyone incase it results in them wanting to get sexual. i can t have anyone even touch my waist/stomach or i flinch (and yet, i am OBSESSED with the thought of sex/being touched by someone. but if it ever gets initiated it s like NO RUN AWAY IM SCARED)

any thoughts are welcome.

I have a lazy eye (left) had surgery to 'correct' it when I was four or five, however that was purely cosmetic and just tightened some muscles in my eyeballs or something. Basically, thanks to that surgery, my left eye isn't permanently looking at my nose anymore. I can see fine with my right eye, however I believe my prescription is SOMETHING like +4 +5? or +3 +5??? The only paper prescription I have currently is one from 2011. When I was eleven. So I'm sure it's a little different now (I will ask my optician for a copy of it eventually but i think it's something like that) when i close my right eye my vision is quite bad and I can't usually make out more than 3 lines on a letter chart, but can read everything with or without glasses on my right eye.

Will this stop me joining the British Army or RAF (a medical position)? I'm going to do a year or possibly two on a uniformed services course at college first so I won't be joining until 2017/2018. My dad (Royal Engineer veteran) has assured me that there were tons of "milk-bottles" wandering around his old army base but that was about 6 years ago. And is one force maybe more lenient than the other? I'd happily join the RAF however the "soldier first, trade second" mentality is what really appeals to me about the army.

a friend of mine was a wonderful wonderful soldier, served the british army for 12 years but unfortunately got into a scrap with a bloke who picked on his sons. this resulted in the bloke having some form of brain damage (although believe he is all OK now) and my friend was sent away and discharged from the army. (i don t believe it was dishonourable discharge) the court case went awfully and he was sentenced to nine years for GBH with intent. he also got a lifetime firearm ban. ge s out of prison now, after serving half of his sentence and getting an early release for good behaviour (no problems at all. kept his head down for his entire sentence- he s a realy good guy and the fight was down to a man threatening his 9 and 12 year old boys.) it was the biggest mistake of his life and he misses the army so much, and although everyone is pretty sure he ll never be back in the army, is there maybe some kind of loophole? obviously the lifetime firearm ban would mess things up but if he didny have that? not looking for anything definitive, just curious if he still has/or would have the option if things were slightly different. he has a job truck driving now and a stable life. but we are just wondering.

A question for straight men, gay women, poly, bi, homo, whatever- people. People that are sexually attracted to women, I am curious as to what YOU find physically attractive/unattractive on a female. Natural makeup, unnatural hair colours? Piercings, tattoos, body types, body hair? Do you like your ladies soft and shaved or as nature intended? Do you like your women short, tall, confident or shy? Do you want a plain Jane or a Kim K? Just HOW important is breast size, really?

I'm a 16 year old girl and I want to join the army (or possibly the air force) next year. The only problem is, I'm SO unfit. I'm not FAT per sé but I'm not skinny either, I'm 5"7 and about 11 stone 2. I'm a 'healthy weight' for my BMI but I'm pretty chubby and I have a bit of a 'spare tyre' lol. I currently have a gym membership and I've been a vegetarian for 2 years (this isn't an ethical thing, I just really hate the taste of meat). I know to be a soldier you need to be able to do a 2 mile run and I'm AWFUL at long-distance running. I don't think I'm athsmatic but my breathing is pretty sucky, probably due to how unfit I am. So how can I get fitter? I can't lift anything or do any push ups, I'm really weak and feeble but I am willing to do anything to get fit enough for the forces. I have over a year to do this so I'm not under any pressure to get fit quick, but I DO need to know how to get from awful to Jodie Marsh so I expect that won't be an overnight transition.

Any advice you can give me would be super helpful, and remember I have a gym membership at my disposal so anything goes!

i say REALLY bad but it wasnt that bad. long story short i got into an argument with a friend, and i faked a message i said i d sent (which i had not yet sent). she had my account still logged in on her phone (which ultimately she shouldnt have but i dont really care). she saw me send the message to myself and then screenshot it, pretending i sent it to someone else, and then confronted me about lying. it doesnt sound that bad here, and she s flat out told me "i m not mad" but the thing is i feel so bad and i cant stop thinking about it. i have a past of mild mental health issues and emotional neglect and whatever else but i cant blame my shittiness on that. im a compulsive liar and i feel so bad but i only feel bad because i got caught. i cant forgive myself for it. i cant sleep. i feel so ******* bad and the worst part is we ve both spent a ton of money on a trip we re going on in 2 weeks together. i cant back out now but i also dont think i can face her. i cant face anyone. im mortified and she wont talk to me about it. how can i move past this?

So.. I'm following a band's tour in February. I'm 16 (my parents trust me? I don't know. Most people seem to think 16 is a bit bonkers to be doing all this, but hey! They don't care) and it's just me and one other friend. We're huge fans of this band (All Time Low) and they know who we are, we've attended many a show in the past. We've camped out for shows, been to signings, travelled ridiculously far, waited around for concerts to start for hours and hours and hours in the blistering heat and pouring rain... but we've never done it 7 times in a row before, and I'm a bit worried I'm going to **** up colossally. Does anyone have any advice? Stories and experiences from backpacking and travelling? Tips on staying warm and keeping organised? How to not die of boredom once our smartphones inevitably perish? We only have hotels for 2 nights of the tour as each show is back-to-back so we have to use the night to travel from city to city. Anything you have to offer would be much appreciated! If you've travelled the UK before I'd really love to hear some of your wisdom - Europe or the USA, anywhere. Any tips you can give me would really help!

okay so i m 16 and i m planning a trip to baltimore (usa) next year to go to a concert and meet some friends of mine and generally just have a little holiday because my family can t ever really afford to go abroad. i have someone paying my flights for me and have sorted accommodation and it really isnt going to cost that much, i have a part time job and im still at school so its not like i have bills to pay for, so the little money i get is being saved up and paying for it which works out great. the only thing is, i m considered a minor in the us, right? so are they going to turn us away at the border? i m planning on travelling with two other girls (one 17, one 18) and have permission from both of my parents. also, do i need a visa? any other documents besides my passport? any other advice you can give me about border control would be helpful too. i know america are strict about who comes into the country since 9/11 happened. (also, my granddad was extradited from the states years and years ago because he was part of a massive drug cartel. that won t affect me, will it?)

and one little side note for fun, do you think i m too young or immature to be making this trip myself? my parents are completely fine with it, but i know some people s parents who won t even let them get the 2 hour train to london. just wondering if you d let your 16 year old daughter do the same.

first off, i don't want a speech. i can't be bothered with a speech. yes, i'm going to die. yes, it's illegal. i don't care.

so, next week i'm flying london > edinburgh to go to a concert then flying back 2 days later, i'm 15 and flying alone and want to know if i can get away with carrying a pack of cigarettes in my carry on luggage? obviously it's not legal for me to buy them so will they say anything or take them from me?? and i know police can take them from you if you aren't 16, but airport security aren't police, are they?? is it worth me trying to bring them on the plane or is it risky? i don't plan on bringing a lot of cash so it'll be hard to get them once i arrive, and i'll be freezing my **** off camping so i'd like some cigarettes so don't suggest going without them please haha

So next month I'm flying to Edinburgh from London for a concert (I'm 15!!) and I'm a bit worried I'll mess it all up. I've flown plenty before, I used to go to Spain on holiday every year up until 2012 )so I haven't flown in 3 years), but I've never ever flown on my own. How do I check in and board without messing it all up?! How much time should I give myself to book my coaches? So for instance if my flight leaves at 21:15 would I be okay to arrive at 20:05 and if my return flight arrives at 8:00 will i be able to get off of the plane in time to catch my coach at 8:30? And because it's only England to Scotland will I be able to use an out of date passport (it only ran out in June?) Any other tips you have would be really helpful!!

It's so ******* frustrating but i cant escape the thoughts.... of WANTING bad thoughts? I understand it's likely to have stemmed from the fairly recent internet trend of romanticizing mental disorders and depression and all that. I mean, it's likely.

I've moved around all my life. I'm a passing moment to everyone. I don't go to school because I used to panic on my way in to school in the mornings. I say "panic" but it wasn't ever attacks or anything. I just couldn't hack going in to school so I'd sit in the park/forest thing neighbouring the school taking a few deep breaths and then I'd go home. I refused to go in again. It's been nearly a year since I was at school.

My dad got out of prison in May after serving four and a half years for GBH with intent. My mother is a heroin addict. I've had more than my fair share of problems to get attention from. why do i want more?

I fantasize about getting hit by a car or being shot in the chest or something. I fantasize about finding I have cancer or some other terminal illness. I understand this is sick and disgusting and wrong but it's not something I can control.

I self harmed for a long time. I haven't in almost a year but i want to break that streak desperately, just so i can tell someone i broke my streak.

I try to have an eating disorder. I TRY to be sad. What the ****?!

I get it, it's obviously an attention thing. but is it normal? Can I make it go away, so I can appreciate my health like a normal person? Help me please

If you're 14 and pregnant, can tou go to the doctor without a parent/guardian? And are you legally obliged to say anything about the father? This has nothing to do with me, I'm just settling a debate~~

So, in the summer, my cousin and I will be travelling to Spain to see family, from Gatwick/Heathrow or maybe Stansted airport in the UK.

I have not been out to this country for a number of years and I smoke.. And I'm a minor.

Would there be any trouble with me taking, I don't know, 60 cigarettes in my suitcase? I understand I can't take a lighter, but I'll be travelling with a book of matches in my hand luggage or something.

Also, what are the laws for buying cigarettes in Spain, if anybody knows? This shouldn't be too much of a problem, though - I do recall a few cigarette vending machines in the area. I'm just worried about taking them in my suitcase.

I do recall once from when I was quite small, my mother taking 200 cigarettes in my suitcase and 200 in hers, coming BACK from Spain, however this was obviously the opposite journey and it was a number of years ago, so there's a good chance laws have shifted around a bit.

I'm doing a piece of writing (possibly a novel if I can get it right), and it's set in Versailles, 1970ish.. But I know virtually nothing about the place. Do you know of any good resources where I could research this? Websites I should be looking on? Books that might let me know something key? Movies set in that time period?

Preferably by Modern Rock/Punk/Post-Hardcore bands? IE A Day To Remember, blink-182, All Time Low, Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, blessthefall, Lights, We Are The In Crowd, Paramore, Asking Alexandria, Bring Me The Horizon, Bullet For My Valentine etc? Any bands that have ever been featured in Kerrang! Magazine would do fine..

So i've had a 6mm stretcher in for about 3 months and i woke up this morning and i've ******* lost it. I don't have a 7mm and I gave my 5mm to a friend so i have to jump to an eight or my ear will close up. IT WON'T GO IN FFS. Any suggestions?!
