Earlier when I let my dog inside he had a yellow - orange powder on his face and the tops of his paws. It's too dark outside to investigate properly, but I'm worried it may be something poisonous.

Hi all.
I have a Tedelex TE19B02 TV/DVD player.
I was watching a DVD and pressed "Disc Menu" to return to the menu and select the next episode. The screen went black then displayed a message that said "DVD NO SYNC".
The DVD will not play, or eject. The light that is normally blue to indicate 'on' is now purple.
The instruction manual was no help and I couldn't find anything online. Can anyone help me?

There is a very large shrub (approx 5m long, 3m high, 2m wide) in my back yard that seems to be dying. The leaves in the middle of the tree all died off, and it's slowly spreading - so it looks like an arch of leaves, with dead branches in the middle.
Unfortunately i don't know what sort of bush it is, but i can tell you it has small leaves (about the size of a pinky-finger nail) and no fruit or flowers. On some branches it has clusters of what appear to be seed pods, similar to what you'd find on banksia trees. It's in South Australia.
Can anybody help me, please?
