So many people in my area have been putting up ads saying that they are selling car insurance and registrations that are "good to be used in court or when pulled over" and they are saying they can backdate it if needed. They are saying the insurance is good for 6 months and the registrations are good for 15 days. I'm not sure how this is possible because the vehicle info is needed for insurance and registration. Is it legal for them to do this?

I have a 1999 s10 zr2 4x4 with the 4.3L vortec and 295K miles. I have noticed that I have a good amount of slop in the steering wheel, I can turn it about an inch or two before it starts steering the truck. I have replaced almost everything in the front end within the last year including inner and outer tie rods, both cv shafts, upper and lower ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm, shocks, and steering gearbox. I think it is either the steering shaft or the rag joint, how do I go about checking them?

I own a 1997 Chevy s10 4x4 with the 4.3 vortec. I hauled a trailer with furniture for about 80 miles or so, and I was shocked to see that my truck was spewing quite a bit of transmission fluid out of the back of the transfer case where the rear driveshaft goes in. I was shocked because I had just replaced that seal not long ago, and I wasn't hauling that heavy of a load, maybe 2000lbs max. The leak has seemed to have slowed since then, but it's still pretty wet around the area. It was dry as could be in that spot before this trip. Could I have blown that seal again??

I have a 1997 s10 4x4 with the 4.3L and the 4l60e tranny. When doing some crawling around underneath I discovered that the very bottom bell housing bolt was hanging out, and the two bolts on either side of it were in but they were sticking out about 1/8 of an inch. I was able to reach 2 more near the exhaust manifold on either side and they were tight. I have been doing a lot of driving and hauling with it the last couple weeks with no issues, though I am scared that there could be some underlying damage that was caused by the bolts being loose, and I am worried that the bolts at the top of the bell housing that I can't see may be loose as well. Should I be worried???

I have a 1997 s10 with the 4.3L v6. I bought it about 2 years ago and noticed a ticking noise when I bought it, but it seemed to had subsided until now. The tick usually happens on startup then goes away once warned up. The noise is definitely a lifter on the right bank, should I try using seafoam in the oil to fix this problem?

I am in the Army currently stationed in South Korea. I am wanting to change my last name to my mother's maiden name, however I will not be able to legally change it until I get back home because the court requires me to go in person, and I cannot change it through the Army until I legally change it. However, a Captain I spoke to at the legal office told me that I am within regulation to wear my mother's maiden name on my uniform, so long as I use my legal name on official documents. I forgot to ask what regulation covers it, and I cannot seem to find it in my searches. I would just like to know in case one of my superiors tries to tell me I can't do it. Anyone know what the reg is? Thanks.

I am in the Army and I would like to change my last name (not due to marriage). I know the process of how to do it legally and such but I am unsure of how to do it through the Army. Anyone have any idea?

Like the ones that pull the "my husband is a LTC" like stfu, that's your HUSBANDS rank, not yours. Then some that expect a salute coming through the front gate with their husbands officers sticker on their car. And then here where they hog up so much space in the gym next to the single soldier barracks after work hours when all of us are trying to get a workout in, when there's a huge gym like a 5 min walk from family housing. Not saying all wives act like this, just some I've seen. And they wonder why they're called dependapotamus.....

I have already gotten my orders for Fort Carson but our PLT SGT has informed us that if we want to go to Korea we could because they are in need of my MOS. I am highly considering it because I think seeing another part of the world would be a good experience. He said we'd be in a support unit for the 2nd infantry division at Camp Casey. What is it like over there? Day to day work? Scenery? Food? Down time? Girls (lol)? And would I be able to do any online college?

Just a general question. When it comes time for promotion from E-4 to E-5, and 2 guys are in the running for one slot, and they're both virtually identical on paper except one has a 300 pt score and the other has a 250, the one with the 300 will get it. I'm not saying PT isn't inportant because it definitely is, but the guy with the 250 could make an exceptional NCO while the guy with the 300 is just a meathead pt stud and can't lead. What do you think?

So I am a 15T (Blackhawk mechanic) in the Army and am currently in AIT. I am working with a 160th SOAR recruiter to go to Ft Campbell and green platoon. He said I have a good chance because I have a 126 GT score on my ASVAB and I got a 335 on my PT test. When I get there, I want to attend Airborne, Air Assault, and later on SERE school when they get slots open. My question is after all that will I be able to attend Ranger school with my MOS?
