I am everything you hate.

I'm performing in Great Expectations, as Herbert Pocket, and as part of my characterisation I have to provide an image or doll or some clothing (or something similar) that I think represents my character.

Obviously Herbert Pocket is really the only purely nice, selfless and kind character in all of Great Expectations. He is very wise and wants to help Pip, and others, as much as he can. The problem is, I can't really think of anything with which to represent him. Does anybody have any ideas? And also any analysis of Herbert which I may not have thought of?

Hunched over her computer.

As she thinks, she writes,

Pondering over this pool of memories, moistening in the

Drip

Drip

Drip

Of her closely condensed mind.

The condensation crawling through her cranium gives her no rest and doesn't let up and I do nothing but

watch and wait and

think and

watch and wait

and wait

and wait.

Now I'm no psychologist but

I know even a genealogist would not spend his empty days meandering through the now flooded oceans of the distant and future past.

I tell her, 'It's not healthy!!'.

Now she knows,

right?

But she's always known. She just can't see.

Being silently terrified has finally taken its toll and she's given up

on the hope she once held so tightly

against her

thumping concert hall heart.

It's the loudest killer of all, the harsh flow of ice continually

distorting what could have been the purest of purities in her once pure heart.

All this thinking of her has made me

think to a time when I was that thinker, always

over-thinking and

thinking things whose outcome wasn't relevant but whose weight felt like an elephant

tugging at the strings of the orchestra

of my

thumping concert hall heart.

These memories could write a symphony or perhaps one day a regret-filled eulogy.

I just haven't got the chords to be able to speak my mind.

The melodies will escape me, leaving hexachords in retrograde

and my first-inversion masquerade

to clear the cluttered apocalyptic shelter that stays sheltered in my head.

Maybe.

But for now, she stays.

This morning I updated my iPod Touch to the new iOS and it isn't working properly. When I go onto 'Music' it shows up a blank screen and then waits 20-30 seconds before automatically returning to the home screen. It also does this for Videos and the whole device just generally runs slowly. I've tried resetting it, turning it off and on and plugging it into my computer. What shall I do? Thanks.

So basically I haven't been at school for the start of this term, but my history teacher feels it necassery to personally call me and tell me what homework is due in the day I return, even though I haven't got any information with which to answer it. 'Tis this:

'How successfully did George V deal with the problems faced by the royal family during his reign?'

I've always taken an interest in people that are different - whether they be suicidal/manic depressives, or people with severe mental conditions - so I was wondering if you know of any (preferably good!) films about people that are very different.

The book 'The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night-Time' has always been fascinating to me, so any films similar to that storyline/character would be appreciated.

Or just any films about things such as suicide, self harm, trying to fit in, azbergers syndrome etc.. Just social difference.

I'm a 15 year old boy, and I've found that, especially recently, the teenagers surrounding me and more than 90% of the people my age that I know are really annoying me for several reasons.

The main reason is because teenagers nowadays feel they have to be so sexually active, when they just don't. They feel that they constantly have to be in relationships, and it's seen as 'bad' or 'uncool' if you haven't committed a sexual act of some sort in your life. For example: I started at a new school in January, entering Year 10, and within several weeks of arriving I was asked by numerous different people whether I have ever had sex, and then was greeted with a snigger when I replied with the honest answer 'no'.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a really tight-up, frigid nerd. In fact, I have quite a wide variety of friends and pride myself on being somewhat 'different' - hopefully in a positive way - from other people my age.

I was just wondering your views on this and whether you have anything else on the matter to share? Thanks! :)

I was just wondering what techniques other people have for learning lines? I'm 15 and seem to be pretty poor at learning lines. I always have them down for the performance, but it just takes me a while to get them in the rehearsal stage. I seem to learn one scene perfectly, then happily move on to the next scene. But then when I go back to the original scene, alas!, the lines have forgotten themselves!

Just helpful hints and tips would be much apprecciated :) x

This is a bit weird but I saw Billy Elliot being performed in London's West End on Tuesday, and the 13 year old boy that played Billy was just so mesmerizing and utterly incredible at his craft that I couldn't help but take an immediate attraction to him. I must stress that I have only just turned 15 so this isn't as weird as it could be. But he was just so gorgeous and everything I look for in a guy that it led to an immediate attraction. I met him at the stage door after the show and he was so lovely which just made me like him more. I don't know really...

Anyways, have you ever had anyone like this? Just interested. Thanks! x

I'm performing the play 'The Visit' and I've been cast as the Schoolmaster. I've been thinking a lot about the characterization of this role and would like a bit of help as I'm unsure of how to play the role to it's full potential. Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!

I've been wondering about this a lot recently. I'm a 14 year old boy and loads of my friends that are the same age or even younger than me all seem to be so sexually active. You'll come into school one day and hear everyone talking about how someone gave someone else a ******* at a party and stuff like that, and I don't get it. Everyone this age nowadays seems so driven by sex sex sex, and don't focus on their life. I'm genuinelly not fussed about getting into all of this stuff until I'm 16-17, and I believe that's the way kids should be! We should stop trying to be so grown up so early in our lives and enjoy ourselves while we can, instead of worrying about how far ew are through puberty or who we've kissed or whether we've got a boyfriend or not!

So essentially I was just wondering what your views are on this subject matter. Thanks! :) x

I want to buy the GTA IV Bundle DLC off the PS3 Store. However, it says in it that 'you will need Grand Theft Auto IV, product code BLES-00229.' And makes it pretty clear that you should check what the product code of your game is. The one on my GTA IV game is BLUS 30127GH I think. So, does it matter that I've not got the same code? Will I still be able to play the content?

Whenever I try to update to the new iPod Touch software update, it starts, but then after about half a minute comes up with the message 'There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod. The network connection timed out.'

It says this the whole time, but my connection is perfect. The internet and everything else works. Could you please advise me on what to do, and exactly how to do it, because I really need to do this!

Everywhere I go I see people saying 'I'm gay', 'I'm bi', I'm pansexual' and stuff like that. Everyone feels the need to label themselves. I say, whoever you fall in love with, you fall in love with, regardless of sex. This annoys me.

It seems like it has now become cool for teenagers to hate on Justin Bieber, which REALLY annoys me. If you've got something personal against him, then be my guest, but don't just hate on him because it's what everyone else is doing.

Don't get me wrong, I hate his music, I personally think it's bollocks, but he is incredibly attractive. I wouldn't dream of hating on someone I've never met :L So, opinions?

I only just found this small red lump on my penis. It's really small, about 1 mm squared, but I just want to know what it could be, before anything serious could happen. Could you please tell me what it is and what to do about it? Thanks.
