Mango21

I have a (I think it's classical) Nintendo DS, not the newer DSi or 3D just a regular one, and I wanted to play but I couldn't turn it on. I thought the battery was dead so I plugged it in and the orange light which is supposed to be turned on when it's charging went on for just a second, and then went off. So I thought that it's just "exhausted" so I let it be, for half a day. I thought it would charge and be ok, but it still didn't work. I tried everything, but I can't turn it on.. What could be wrong with it? Should I get a new one or is the charger broken? Or is it the thingy-ma-jig inside the nintendo (umm.. maybe the battery?) that's broken? I have the nintendo for liiike 3 years, I don't think there's something wrong with it.. Thanks for help!
