It is finals week at my university, and so I have not been able to get much sleep for the past few days. I am desperate for a nap, but I am scared I will be too tired to wake up. Is there a way to help me get up and out of bed? (e.g. drinking cold water)

My friends are graduating from college, and I would love to surprise them with a nice bottle of champagne. I was wondering if there was a particularly good brand that stands out (no sparkling wine please, only legitimate champagne). I'm looking for something in between the price range of $50 to $80, with a price cap of $100. Help please!! So oftentimes, when I go to a restaurant, one waiter's service is exceptional, while everyone else's is mediocre, I was wondering how much I should tip on the bill if I'm going to palm some money to the exceptional waiter. Also, how much money should I palm the waiter (assuming the bill is $200 without tax)?

Conversely, sometimes, only the manager's service is exceptional, is it proper or improper to palm money to the manager?

I want to drive my car up to Big Bear Lake, and my main concern is that it may break down on the climb up the mountain because it is an older car.

My car is a 2001 Honda Odyssey bought in September 2000. It has been taken in for maintenance on time every time ever since the car has been bought. I've also taken it on many road trips from Southern California to Northern California, and not once has there been a problem. It currently has about 130k mileage on it and tires that are less than a year old.

I have a Sony Ericsson cell phone. Unfortunately I don't know what model it is. I have tried importing mp3s onto it but it won't let me use it as a ring tone. I have tried to use the DRM packager downloaded from the Sony Ericsson website (it either does not work for me or I am using it incorrectly). So any ideas? Or any advice on how to work the DRM packager?

I am currently entering my second year in college at the University of California, Berkeley. Suffice to say, my first year was not a successful year. I am beginning to worry about the rigorous admissions of med school, and I am not sure how to improve my chances of getting in. It would be great if someone could offer me insight into the admissions process and help me to succeed in my following years.

are there such things as surprise checks in chess?

it's supposedly when u suddenly discover opponent has checked the player without either players noticing, in which case, the one under check automatically loses.

if there are surprise checks, is it applied to all games?
