  • how to remove num lock icon in task bar in Vista ?

    I have just reformatted and reinstalled Vista and have these annoying icons beside the clock. They are Num Lock, Scroll Lock and Caps Lock.

    I know you can remove them but have forgotten how to. Also how to I get the RUN command on the start menu again ?

  • Will i need to reboot my computer to factory settings?

    I have Vista and IE7. IE7 crashed about the time of that big internet scare last week, hopefully coincidence ....

    Anyways, every time I start IE7 now it crashes pretty quickly and after searching for a solution I get the message "Data Execution Prevention has closed Internet Explorer"

    Luckily I have Firefox on my pc as well or I would have no access to the internet.

    All other programs work fine, Yahoo messenger, MSN, email account. I cant access Yahoo or MSN emails though without using Firefox.

    I downloaded the patch to fix the scare but didnt fix IE. Have also tried installing google version of IE from Cnet website but that disappeared into the ether.

    Cant download from microsoft either as i already have IE7 on my computer.... Why install it again ??? lol

    Any ideas anyone ?
