I inherited some oil paints in tubes from a relative. I'm not an artist but would like to use some stencils for a decorative garden stake and/or paint a plastic flower pot. If I use the oil paints, would I need to seal the finished project or will the oil paint be waterproof enough on it's own? I realize if I use wood for the base, any unpainted sections would need to be sealed.

Not much more to say. I've been rereading the 5 books off and on for almost 3 years.

The one I have now is very dark green and seems to soak up any lights and it's hard to see the ornaments.

The ones in the dept. stores aren't thrilling me. It's hard to get an idea of color from a computer but the ones labeled "Blue Spruce" seem to be lighter. Are they the lightest? I don't want flocked, all white or silver.

Does anyone have a favorite site or store to recommend?

I have sole legal custody of my nephew. His father is dead, his mother is never around. When he was 10 we we needed to get him a passport for a Mexican vacation. The post office was okay with the court documents, but the passport office wanted a notarized form from his mother saying it was okay. She did it. Now the boy is almost 16 and will need a new passport. Do you think we'll have to go through the same hassle with the mother's form again or will it be accepted as is?

The defendant was acquitted. A witness's honest testimony could have caused a guilty verdict, but they lied.

If the witness comes forward later telling the truth, what can be done?

We have double hung windows, double glazed with pop in/out screens about 20 years old.

Could the window film be taped to the screen instead of the inside window frame? Would the plastic act as a cold and wind barrier creating another air space for better insulation?

We used the window kits 20 years ago in an old house and they worked fine and helped keep heat in, but I didn't like the look of inside plastic windows. Plus, I have young children visiting on occasion and am concerned about them poking holes in the film.

I tried to find out about this using google but had no luck.

Any ideas or comments? Thanks.

It's an August evening outdoor ceremony and reception at a bed and breakfast inn. A country themed decor. What would be more appropriate of these options?

A lightweight fine wale corduroy sports jacket (brown, no leather patches), white or pastel shirt (tie or no tie) and dark tan pleated slacks.

Or: Black dress pants, grey herringbone jacket (lightweight wool), white or blue shirt with a tie.

The ceremony and reception are outside and evening to midnight in Aug. The bride is wearing a white gown and the bridesmaids are wearing tea length dresses. They're all wearing cowboy boots. The decorating theme is on the country side.

There's supposed to be a one eighth space between the edge of the planks and the wall which would be covered by a quarter round molding. What do you do where the new floor is against a carpeted room?

The child accused a man after 10 years. An investigation by police had him arrested and charged with 4 different counts. Three are F1 and one is F2. Without going into details, we know the child is trustworthy. She has no reason to lie. He says he didn't do it. He was offered a prison term of 1/2 to 1/3 what he might get if convicted, but he rejected it. What kind of things could his defense attorney use or say to convince a jury that he's innocent?

We need about 450 sq. feet total. There's a simple kitchen dining room rectangle. But then there is a sort of lower case "h" shaped area attached which makes up the foyer and washer dryer area. The existing floating sheet vinyl has seams which I don't like, so I don't want that again. I like the idea of floating installation for ease of replacement in the future. I have kids in and out and a dog. I need something durable, low gloss but non skid. And I want it to resemble stone or tile, not wood. Also we're planning on having it installed, so dyi isn't an issue. I've been reading reviews, but am hoping for more. Thanks.

I'm trying to lose 10 lbs a month. My arms are big. Will they gradually "tighten" as the fat goes away?

My cellular shades are 10 years old. I like the look, but they're hard to keep clean. I have 2 large picture windows that get cold in the winter. I want something I can wash occasionally but will still insulate well. Any ideas?

One of our trees has holes that match the pictures of holes made by acorn woodpeckers. We live in PA and all the information I've read says acorn woodpeckers live on the west coast. We just noticed them the other day and while we've been keeping an eye out for the culprits, we haven't seen or heard anything. There are no acorns stuffed in the holes. Since it's middle March now, I don't know if there are a lot of acorns to be found especially since we have many squirrells and chipmunks. Does anyone know anything about this?

Evidence Rules 413, 414, and 415 would allow past negative information about the defendant to be entered as evidence in sexual abuse cases under certain circumstances. I've only read a few articles and they're not easy to follow. The ones I read didn't mention concrete instances like the guy is a tier 3 sexual offender and did jail time for the same offence he's being tried for. What could be a reason why that information wouldn't be allowed?

The attorneys and judge are still hashing out whether there will be a trial or if a plea bargain will be allowed. The defendant is being charged with abuse. He contacted the victim on a social website. No words were sent, it was basically a "like" or "not like" situation. Can he be charged with something and arrested for this?

The prosecution offers him a reduced sentence to plead guilty in lieu of a jury trial. He accepts. What happens next and what is the approximate time line?

Their prices seem too good to be true. Some things I've bought from other stores and know the nomorerack price is comparable and they inflated what the competitors price is, or the brands are "off."

But, is anything okay to buy from them? Is there customer service good?

Just trying to get an idea of labor costs. I know it's impossible to give an accurate estimate without a measurement. I believe besides square footage, the shape or pitch of the roof determines labor costs, as well as where one lives. Materials prices seem to be pretty standard. Is there a ball park figure per square foot that most roofers use? The job would be removing old asphalt shingles and replacing with same. Our house is a 1900 square foot rancher with no high peaks.

I'm hoping to get some idea of what we're up against before we start making appointments with companies for estimates. Thanks
