or "They say a child has the imagination of..."

I can't think right now, so I need some help! :)

I have a new Windows 8 computer and it comes with Windows Defender. Microsoft say that the Windows 8 version of this includes Microsoft Security Essentials which is an antivirus. I kn ow that you shouldn't run multiple antivirus softwares as they'll conflict.

So, should I

A) Download another antivirus and turn off Windows defender?

B) Download another antivirus and leave Windows defender on?

C) Just leave Windows Defender how it is as there is no need to download another software?

PS. I've heard that Microsoft Security Essentials isn't a good protector against malware etc if you were going to suggest C.

Me and 2 other mates are going to Southeast Asia for 6 weeks between 20th July and 3rd September. We're 19, 20 and 21 years old and we're second year uni students. What do you think we should do there?

Since 6 weeks isn't very long, we want to do as much as possible but we're probably going to have to miss some stuff out.

We want to do the 4 - Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

But we're going to have to know what we're doing each day more or less to make the most of the time we have there.

What do you recommend?!

I'm just curious, If you're tripping on Magic Mushrooms/truffles or LSD and you see a pink giraffe, can you say to yourself "I'm only seeing this because I'm hallucinating." Or would you be convinced that it's real? Are you aware that you're on the drug while you're on it?

Could I have a single male Betta in a tank (20L) with a small shoal of Cardinal Tetras? Or would it attack them? It might sound stupid, but are the tetra's too small to be bitten harmfully, maybe..?

I have a small (around 20L) fish tank with 9 tropical fish in and the temperature seems to be too hot.

I have a tank thermometer which indicates that the temperature should be between 19C -29C. At the moment it's 31C.

I have completely unplugged the heater because it was obviously rising the temperature even more. But two weeks later, the temperature is rising higher on it's own due to the warmer summer weather.

All of the fish are doing different things; some are staying near the top and some swimming around the bottom. But a lot of the fish tend to swim from the top to bottom very quickly repeatedly (I don't know if any of this is unnatural, I'm relatively new to the fish scene.)

So far, I've unplugged the heater, every now and then replaced about 10% of the water with colder water ( but this only has a short term effect), And opened up the lid of the tank to let some heat escape.

I don't know what else to do. Or even if this is such a problem having the temperature 2C above recommended.

Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I'm sure the Mark scheme's wrong.?

The question is:

Find the stationary points on the curve : y = 12x^2 -12x

So, I went to differentiate it. (bring the power down and take on off it.) dy/dx = 24x - 12.

But the Mark scheme says dy/dx = 4x -12.

Have I made a silly mistake? Or is it wrong? the mark scheme seems to have integrated the equation. ? Cheers.

which each lands is noted. The score is the sum of these two numbers. Find the

probability:

a) that the score is even given that at least one die lands on a 3.

Well, I'm 16 and I've known this girl for a year, we've been together a month and it's her birthday in 14 days.!! Ahh help. I want to get her something special, not just a card, chocolates and flowers. No jewelry, I want to get her something different but memorable. eg. concert tickets.

I have a fair bit of money, I just don't want to go way over the top.
