Like I have GIMP and I want to edit some photos, but I'm new to the whole editing of photos, so I'm not sure how to open a PSD and apply it to a photo.

I have to tip my hat to Tim Lincecum. I saw the Braves take some awkward swings. The guy was just un-hittable. So, congrats Giants on winning Game 1. Enjoy it while it lasts, though, because I foresee a Braves victory tomorrow at the hand of Tim Hudson.

I'm in Drawing 1 and my teacher assigned us to find 10 common household items for 5 different emotions. For example, 1 item for happy would be flowers. I'm having trouble coming up with different items for different emotions. My emotions are happy, sad, surprised, fear, and anger. This is for a still-life drawing.
