I am going to Columbia College Chicago next year (an art and design school) for Graphic Design and need to start looking at laptops. All my desktop computers I have ever had have been custom built Windows PC's with extra memory and excellent graphics cards because I use Adobe Creative Suite and I play video games on my computer. I feel like if I get a Windows Laptop, I will have more choices in memory, graphics, and features. But, everywhere I look, people still say MacBook Pro is the best design computer. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!!!

OTHER THOUGHTS:

-I don't like where Mac is going with all online, in the "Cloud" technology with no DVD ports and non-customizable design.

-I have a Terabyte External Harddrive and I'm not sure If it could re-format to Mac

-I also have many computer games that are Windows and IF I take them to college (probably not) I would need a Windows computer.

Help me decide, I'm not worried about money too much, so all i need is for you to persuade me one way or the other.

looks kinda legit and not bad for software and hardware but i was wondering what else was out there thats simple like this.

I already know about VirtualDJ, i think it's pretty sweet.

As far as a mixer/turntable what is there out there thats this simple?

I havn't found much online, should i try some music shops? I know a nearby that might have DJ equipment.

Basically i just want any advice or insight about small, simple DJ setups.

An ellipse is every point the equidistant from two fixed points (foci). If the Earth and all other planets and celestial bodies have elliptical orbits, then there has to be two foci. For the Earth I'm guessing one foci is the Sun.

There are two main Concepts I have heard about Recently and maybe you have,too. The First on is called the Sixth Sense by Pranav Mistry. Basically the Prototype of it consist of a phone and projector and some other gadgets. The goal is for Sixth Sense to be able to project a screen on any surface and use the projected screen as a touch screen for practically anything,( internet, phone calls, entertainment, etc.) To find out more go to their site and watch the videos and stuff: http://www.pranavmistry.com/projects/sixthsense/

The next one is only a Concept but it's similar to Sixth Sense and there are probably many more gadgets like these two out there somewhere. The Morph Concept is by Nokia and is very SciFi but a lot of gadgets that are out these days look like that. The Morph Concept introduces nanoscale technology into a flexible electronic pad no bigger than a DVD case. The flexibility allows it to "shape shift" into different forms. both of these Concepts want to make hand held gadgets that adapt to the world around us for our benefit. MY question is which idea do you think will end up being popular and maybe have a bright future in personal electronics? OR is there other Concepts or Prototypes that you have heard of that are just as good or even better than these?

Also i know the Morph Concept is way more advanced and will take a lot longer to produce but maybe not, Sixth Sense could be a dead end and maybe nanotechnology is the answer..

Sometimes, when I leave my computer for more than like 20 minutes, the monitor looses its signal but my computer is still running. No button(s) on my keyboard, mouse, or monitor can turn it back on, I just have to restart my computer. I know it's bad to restart your computer using the buttons on the computer but its the only thing that works.

I have no idea what to do please help!!!!
