Anyone heard of "Tieh Ta Yao Gin"?
On 2002 during a surf trip to Indonesia I came across a Chinese ointment called Tieh Ta Yao Gin. Fellow surfers recommended it for small cuts and I remember it working rather well. Recently I had a surf accident and thought about the ointment. I decided to google it but only found research regarding allergic reactions to it. I still bought it online and believe it to be effective but I was wondering if anyone has any references, i.e research etc, dicussing its effectiveness. Thanks

A little over 4 weeks ago I took a surf trip to El Salvador and had a surf accident resulting in a deep abrasion on my leg. Tthe cut was deep enough that literally fat was dangling off my leg, altough by the time I made it back to land the fat was gone. Because they took butterfly stitches there, it has still not fully healed though it's much better now. The abrasion is about 8 inches below my knee. Two days ago I could still see a slight bump just to the right of the scab and I started wondering if a small rock/shell might be embedded on my leg, so I started applying pressure to the bump. It didn't hurt which is always a good sign, but a while later a blister formed. It appears to be a common serum filled blister but I just have never heard of one occur related to an abrasion.
The blister keeps coming and going and always seems very delicate to the touch (they burst rather easily without me popping them on purpose). Since they form right next to the scab, the scab has started turning slightly yellow because of the serum. Could the serum cause any infection problems related to the abrasion? I hear blisters tend to heal alone, but should I treat these differently under the circumstances?
