Hi, I'm almost done with GCSE physics, but we've recently done a bit on Gas Pressure that has my mind all jumbled. Here's a question I have to do, but I can't figure it out! I don't understand the formula:

P1 x V1 divided by T1 = P2 x V2 divided by T2

Here's the question:

A gas is compressed from a volume of 30dm and a pressure of 2.0 atm and a temperature of 200K, to a volume of 10dm and a pressure of 5.0 atm, what will the new temperature be?

The book I'm using says the answer is 170K but I just can't get that answer! :( please help!

Hi :) I'm 16 and I've never been drunk myself (apparently I'm not a lightweight :P) but I don't really have an urge to. I'm happy drinking because It tastes good :P

Basically, I've been to a few parties with alcohol and my friends are all really annoying when they're supposedly "drunk". What I would like to know, is, what is being drunk REALLY like? I've heard it's not actually that nice? Do you think my friends feel pressured to get drunk so they pretend to? They have very little to drink (like a few sips) but then run around saying "I'M SO DRUNK" and slurring and staggering everywhere (but it's very over the top and dramatic and they only do it when other people are around).

Overall, from someone with experience, what is it like being drunk? and is it normal for teens who are new to alcohol to just be really over the top and annoying? :L

Hi, I'm a bit confused on this, my question is, can you write a symphony for any group of instruments, or only an orchestra?

So, say I wrote a 4 movement piece only for string quartet. Is that a symphony? Or is a symphony only for an orchestra?

Hi :) I'm grade 5 classical guitar and I'm about to take my exam, but I'm finding some scales really hard, because you have to play them apoyando. I personally always play tirando and find apoyando really hard, I was wondering if anyone could give me a few tips on how to do the rest stroke and also, which is used more by professional guitarists? Or is it just a matter of interest? :)

Hi :) Basically, I've liked this guy for ages (I'm gay and we're both 15) and he's bi. We're just about to go into our final year of school and they've mixed up all of our PE groups together. So now I have to get changed with him! The awkward thing is, he knows I like him. I don't know what to do, if I get changed, it'll be extremly awkward, but if I don't then he'll think somethings up. Hi :) well basically, I've always liked this guy and the other day (well actually about 6 months ago) he told me he was bi, (and I'm gay btw) and being the complete idiot I was, I completly fell in love with him. The only problem was, he has a girlfriend. So for 6 months, I have been trying to get over him, but nothing is working, I've tried blocking him out, finding someone else, everything.

The problem is, he's in my friendship group and most of my classes, I just can't avoid him! Does anyone have any tips of how to get over a guy who you see everywhere? :( any help would be appreiciated :)

Hi, in physics GCSE at the moment, we're doing displacement, velocity and acceleration graghs, but I have NO clue what is going on. Could someone please explain how they are different and how they affect each other, so say for example: If the acceleration increased how would that affect displacement and velocity? Any help is greatly appreiciated :) I'm a bit of a physics noob :P

Hi, well, I've always liked woodwing and I was thinking of starting another woodwind instrument, because I already play:

Grade 3 Bassoon,

Grade 6 Electric Guitar and

Grade 5 classical guitar

but I'm giving up electric guitar because I actually hate it :L but I was wondering, what instrument would be best out of flute, oboe, sax and clarinet? Any advice on money, difficulty and general tips would be greatly appreiciated.

Also, I'm 15, if that makes any difference? :L

Hi, I'm a grade 3 bassoonist and I just joined a community orchestra because they really needed a bassoon, but the problem is, the songs are just too hard for me, they are way too fast and the fingerings are extremly awkward, evne when slowed down to about a 1/4 of the speed. I just can't keep up! To make matters worse, I have a solo in one of them xD

I was wondering if anyone could share practising tips and just generally how to be confident in an orchestra, I need advice! xD
