I read about him on the AV Club film website maybe 6 months ago. He is known for very strange films and commercials where he moves his scene around his stationary camera, rather than moving his camera through the scene. His cinematography is very composed, like a painting, with great detail and depth of focus.

Can someone recommend what to do to alleviate the tension caused by this condition?

My in-law's family has property in Costa Rica, and they go there every few months. It's not like resort property, they actually have a small ranch on the side of a mountain, on the outskirts of a small village. I enjoy hanging out at the ranch and doing tourist-y things like rafting, hiking, seeing Arenal (an hour or so away), or going to the beach at Jaco. But I am looking for something more interesting. I'm not sure what exactly, but we are fine getting around on our own. Wondering if there is anything cool, our place is near Ciudad Quesada.
