I'm a high school junior at a relatively difficult Texas private school, and I intend to apply to the following schools (listed in order of favorite schools first):

1. University of Virginia

2. University of Texas

3. Duke University (probably early decision)

4. Tulane University

5. Vanderbilt University

6. Washington & Lee

7. University of Pennsylvania

8. Southern Methodist University (safety)

9. University of Georgia (safety)

I have a 3.7 GPA unweighted and a 2170 SAT (760 CR, 680 M, 730 W). My high school does not rank. My favorite subject and one of my intended majors is Spanish; I'm president of our Spanish club, and I'm currently taking Spanish IV and I will take AP Spanish next year. The rest of my extracurriculars include things like being a two-sport athlete and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, so they're nothing special. Could you please tell me what my chances are with each school? Thanks.

I might be spending a year abroad in Spain next year, so if I go will September-May be enough time to achieve complete fluency? If so, is that long enough to elevate my Spanish to the same level as my English, my first language? Thanks

I'm a 17 year old boy and I'm 5'7". My younger brother is 14, and he's probably 5'10" or or 5'11". I went to the doctor recently for a sprained wrist and got an x-ray, so while I was there I asked if my growth plates were closed. He said my wrist growth plates were, but he couldn't be sure about my growth plates in my legs. Since my mom is 5'5" and my dad is 5'10" I would have expected to be taller than this, so is it possible to still grow after my growth plates have closed? I haven't had a major growth spurt since I was 13, so could I have another one coming? Thanks.

I've heard a lot about how girls like tall guys but I've also heard that most girls prefer muscular guys too, but which do most prefer? I'm about 5' 8" so I'm slightly below average height, but I'm pretty strong and toned for my height. Do most girls prefer a strong and athletic guy below average height but still taller than them or just an average tall guy? Thanks.

I'm a white man and you wouldn't guess I could speak Spanish. It's my second language but I know more than enough to hold a conversation easily. I was talking to my Hispanic friend in Spanish in front of a girl I know and now she seems a lot more interested in me and it seems to be because of my ability to speak Spanish, would girls think that's exotic or something? I'm going to prom next weekend with a friend that I've known basically my whole life. Neither of us were going with anyone (I wasn't planning on going) so she texted me a couple days ago and said "Hey I'll go to prom with you if you don't have a date". This is my first prom and I've heard a lot of stuff about what happens after prom... How can I find out if she wants to do anything without hurting our friendship?
