After comming off my mountain bike, i'm now having some hip joint issues.

Most of the time there is no pain, and it doesn't effect my day to day activities, but if i lift my knee up and then move my leg outwards, it feels like my hip wants to lock before i feel a painfull click around the joint. There is also some mild pain if i lift my leg up and outwards (but so as to induce the painful click) and then lower it. (pain is when i lower my leg)

Anyone got any ideas?

Have been renting a room above the pub where I used to work.

This room, is not in any way associated with my previous employment, other than it's convenient location.

Have been 'told' by my ex-boss/landlord that I have 2 months to vacate this room.

There is no formal tenancy agreement between us, so am wondering if verbal notice to vacate is enough, or if my landlord is required by law to serve me some sort of documentation to the same effect.

Note: I was made redundant, which is the only reason I'm being asked to leave, and am uncertain where I stand so far as my rights are concerned.

Any helpful information you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.

At the start of this year I was made redundant from my chef position on the grounds that my employer couldn't afford to keep me. This left one other chef in the kitchen.

A couple of days ago, the remaining chef was also made redundant for the same reason.

However, we have both heard that our ex employer has hired another person, to fill the chef position that was created due to my ex colleague being made redundant, for a lower wage than we were being paid.

Is our ex employer allowed to do this, or can my ex colleague take him to a tribunal due to unfair dismissal?

Any other input on this would be greatly appreciated.
