I'm going to play my first public DJ gig in two weeks at a youth club so I'll be playing for +- 16 year olds.

My job is playing drum & bass from 9:30pm till 11:00pm so you can understand that I can't be banging the last epic tracks of the moment, because it is in the inappropriate time.

I am probably going liquid, but I don't want to make it boring. Does anyone have some tips? If you were there, what would you find appropriate to hear? Can you give some track names?

I already got a load of tracks but I just wanted to know what you guys thought about it.

I'm a mobile DJ and I sometimes got USB dropouts so I followed some tips to optimize my laptop for audio. They told me to update my USB drivers, so I did... but I installed the wrong drivers (I got 2 USB 2.0 ports, and 2 USB 3.0 ports) and now my USB 2.0 ports don't respond, when I put a device in it, I don't hear any sound. When I put my mouse in it, the led-lamp under the mouse lights up, but it doesn't work (it does work in the 3.0 port). I'm using an ASUS K75VM laptop, but I can only find drivers for the 3.0 ports... Also in my Device Management all seems to be good. But I got one 'unknown device'. I'm really confused...

Yesterday I downloaded an update for my mixing program (I'm a DJ) and when it finished, I had to restart my laptop. Since it is an old laptop, it can't shut down properly by itself but I have to keep the power button button till it shuts down, so I did that. When I put it back on, I had to put my password like usual, but after I get the 'welcome' message, I get a grey screen and I can only move my cursor. I get the same in safe mode... What can I do?

Hey, im a hobby DJ and ive got a numark NS6 wich uses a lot of cpu,and ive got a 3years old sony vaio laptop with a dual core 2.4GHz processor(p8600). Just mixing works fine but if i also want to record video with a webcam the cpu runs to 90-100% and sometimes the music stops for a moment or the ns6 doesnt respond well, now i thought of buying a new laptop with this cpu (apu actually) the amd a8-3500m. Now my question is; is this processor good enough to handle it (mixing + HD video recording) without any problems? The laptop has also 8GB of ram .

If i upgrade to a HD 5670 1GB, does it still perform good on a 460W power supply?
