  • Will I look stupid wearing Jordans?

There is a big Jordan release this weekend, and I want to get a pair of Fire Red 5s. I don't know if people will make fun of me at school for wearing them for a few reasons.

    1. I am white. Almost all the people in my school are white though. Probably 95% or more are white. So most of the guys who wear Jordans are white.

    2. I am not exactly "cool", but not a total scrub or anything. I am just not friends with the "cool/popular guys" who are the main people who wear Jordans in my school.

    3. I don't play basketball. I used to, but I stopped playing on a team after last season (2011-2012). I occasionally will play with friends.

For the part about not being in the main group of guys who wear Jordans, I for the most part, don't really care if people who aren't my friends judge me for what I wear. I would only care if it is a ton of people and they won't leave me alone.

I already have a pair of Olympic 1s. I have had them for about 6-7 months and I can't remember anyone giving me sh*t for wearing them. I just feel like wearing 1s is basically like wearing regular Nikes though because of the big swoosh on the side, so I don't know if it will be different with 5s.

Also, in my school, there is not a whole lot of bullying, because for the most part, at least with the guys, people just don't care if someone is talking badly about them if they aren't friends. I honestly don't think anyone has "bullied" me this year.

I am 15 and a freshman in high school, if that makes any difference. If anyone is thinking about seniors possibly bothering me, that can't happen because the seniors are already out in my school.

  • How to get closer to a girl?

There is this girl I like. Yesterday we talked on facebook for a long time and it seems like she likes the idea of us becoming friends. We weren't really friends before, but we've known each other for years and been friendly around each other for a while, so it's not like I just met her. As I said before, I like her and she seems to like me, but we've only had one real conversation, with the exception of a few short ones about homework and stuff. I only have one class with her at school, so I don't get much of a chance to see/talk to her at school. How can I keep this friendship going and eventually ask her out? Maybe some conversation topics or a way to talk to her at school or something.

By the way, I am pretty shy so I will be reluctant just to go up to her and say "hey"

We are both 15 and freshmen in high school.

  • How to improve my mile time?

I am a 15 year old boy and a freshman in high school. I run outdoor track, and my best and also most recent mile is 5:06. I really want to get that down to a 4:46 or below in order to qualify for the state meet. Today is 4/11/13, and the state meet is on 5/25/13. However, The last meet before that, which I would have to qualify during or before is on 5/18/13. That gives me a little more than a month to cut 20 seconds off my mile. First of all, is this a reasonable goal? and second, if it is, how should I plan on doing this? I have practice with my team mon-fri so the only time that I can work on my own is on the weekends.

I appreciate any tips you have

  • Advice on asking out a girl?

We are both in 9th grade, both 15 years old.

I have never asked out a girl before, and I dont know how to do it properly.

I am almost positive that she likes me, so I am not so worried about that. I just dont know what to say.

We don't have any classes together at school, but we might have lunch together a couple days a week. The next time I will see her all the time is when spring track starts sometime in mid/late March. I dont really want to wait until then if I dont have to.

One idea I had is on Valentines day, my school is selling roses and heart-o-grams (heart o grams are basically cards) and I thought maybe I could write something cute on one of those and ask her out that way. Does that sound like a good idea?

Please, dont answer with the generic "just find her when shes alone and ask her if she is free on the weekend."

I wont be able to find her when shes alone, as we dont have that much time between classes or anything. Also, I am looking for her to be my girlfriend, not just go on a couple of dates.

I appreciate any advice from guys and girls.

    Thank you
