Do any MD/Ph.D programs that will allow students get their Ph.D after clinical rotations so that they can ensure that their research doctorate is in a field that directly corresponds with what they decide to pursue clinically?

If I applied to an MD/Ph.D combined program, could I also send in an application for either just the medical or graduate programs?

I want to read books about biology, but I haven't started my classes yet. My current knowledge of the topics doesn't go too far ahead of high school level, but I don't want books that oversimplify, mislead, or falsify data. Please share any recommendations, please and thank you.

I am looking for lenses for my DSLR to upgrade from my kit lens so that I can improve image quality on my trip to Disneyland, especially in low light conditions since my fastest lens is f/3.5 (18-55mm kit lens). I am trying to decide whether it would be better to get an f/2.8 lens with image stabilization or an f/1.8 lens without image stabilization (the specific lenses are the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 and the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8). I plan to use the lens without a tripod as much as I can, especially on dark rides. Would I benefit more from the image stabilization or the wider aperture? I have a Nikon D3000, so anything above ISO1600 is out of the question, and anything above ISO800 looks terrible.

Audacity won't let me playback my projects. When I try to play something, the error message says "Error while opening sound device. Please check the output device settings and the project sample rate." What does this mean and how can I fix it? I have version 2.0.2, if that makes a difference.

I am a secular agnostic, but some of the colleges I wish to apply to are Christian or Roman Catholic. Does it really matter that a college "practices" a different religion than I do, and what are the effects it might have on campus life?

I am getting a Nikon camera, but was originally planning on getting a Canon. The Nikon D3100 and the Canon Rebel T3 to be exact. Are the hot shoes on these brands/models the same size, so that I can get the same external flash I picked out for the other camera?
