I have always loved and respected animals, and eventually became vegan aged 19. I could never go back to supporting animal abuse, hence why I also try to promote positive, reward-based dog training on this site, as not only is it kinder than the old-fashioned dominance-based methods and theories, it is also much more useful and effective and makes for a happier relationship between dog and owner. I have a beautiful and wonderful Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Pixie who I took out of a euthanasia situation in July 2008. She is my best friend and makes me laugh every day.
