?

Yesterday at around 6pm I was at a cafe when I suddenly started feeling tired and not very well; I asked for a glass of water but before it arrived I started feeling nauseous, dizzy and began to get blurry vision. While someone went to get me a chair I began to get tunnel vision, became disoriented and couldn't hear very well. I slumped on the chair and eventually drank the water and waited for about 10 minutes while my vision came back and I felt able to walk again. I went back to my motel, had a sandwich and a rest then felt fine again.

Does anyone know what could have caused this?

The cafe was fairly warm but not sweltering and I had driven up 3 hours to where I was staying about an hour previous to the event. I hadn't eaten since I had a big breakfast at 11.30 but I frequently go for that long without food and it was a fairly healthy breakfast ( eggs, veggies and black beans) so I can't see how I would have had a sugar high then crash. Im not diabetic and, to my knowledge, have never been hypoglycemic. I had not drank much that day except around 500ml of soda on the way up but did not feel thirsty or have any signs of dehydration leading up to the event. I also got pretty bad sunburn the day before and had been in a lot of pain walking/moving with that but I don't know if thats relevant.

I know there's nothing wrong with me as I felt completely normal again about an hour later and never fully blacked out but was just curious if anyone could hazard a guess at the cause? All help would be appreciated :)

My house has a very small bathroom with just a bathtub in it, but no shower. I currently have rubber piping attached with a showerhead on the end for showering but it is about as powerful as an asthmatic breathing on me.

Unfortunately the bathtub is below a wall that isn't tall enough to have a showerhead attachment fitted and I can't afford to extend the bathroom and have the bath moved, but I was wondering if there was a handheld attachment that I can buy that will act as a shower and have more power than my current solution.

NB: I am NOT looking for a normal bathtub shower attachment as the wall/ceiling is not tall enough to attach it to the wall.

All help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I am a bit dull when it comes to DIY terminology so if you could keep answers clear of jargon, that'd be great :)

This is my third night I've been pulling an all-nighter out of 4 (I've got an essay due in, silly, I know). Over the past half an hour I've been getting temporary vision blurring about every 10 minutes where I'm completely unable to focus and it's unreadable and blurry for short periods (about 20 seconds).

I'm 19, normally have perfect vision and have never worn/needed glasses. There's obviously nothing serious wrong as I'm fine other than that but just curious if anybody know whether this is caused by staring at the computer screen, or lack of sleep?

Any help would be appreciated. All I can seem to find in my brief search on Google is over-complicated things such as stroke etc. Thanks.

A little bit about me: I am obese and was a smoker for 3 years but gave up a month ago. I can barely run for 60 seconds without needing to stop for a walking break (not surprisingly, I know). I'm well aware of my health risks, however my main personal aim is to get fitter, although I am not avoiding the inevitable need to lose weight.

Goal: I would like to complete a half-marathon. This is my personal big goal, I have no intention of getting there tomorrow. 2013, 2014 or even 2015 would be fine, as long as I can run the whole thing. I also already plan to try some 5ks, then 10ks and build my way up, I'm not going to jump straight into it.

My question: How long do you think it will take me to build up to a half-marathon? I can dedicate around 40 minutes 3 times a week and up that to 5 times a week around 12 weeks before a big race, but is it even possible to do long distance running if I'm overweight or is it possible to still be overweight if I continually do long distance running?

Note: I'm not looking for someone to tell me I need to lose weight or the health risks, I realise this myself, and am already working on it. I'm also not looking for healthy eating advice, I already eat healthily, just too much! Can I just have some hints on how to start running (more than the basic tips of start by brisk walking, then by alternating jogging and walking - I know this) along with a realistic time frame so I can make a proper plan.

I am planning to get an all day bus pass in Cardiff tomorrow (£3.60) and I have most of the money but would need to pay about 10p in coppers as there are no shops open for me to get change before then and I know they don't accept notes. I've heard of some bus drivers refusing the money in 1ps and 2ps, does anyone know the definitive answer? Thanks, Charlotte

I have a Fiat Punto 3dr Hatchback that recently broke down and is presumed to be a blown head gasket or cracked cylinders. It is a 2000 car and W number plate, and has done 80k miles.

Sell the broken car to a private car dealer or salvage yard

Sell to a car dealer and try doing a part exchange

Sell the car to a commercial buyer (such as WeBuyAnyCar.com)

Fix the problem and then sell it on

Fix the problem, keep it and hope nothing else goes wrong (as Puntos are notorious for breaking)

Sell the car in parts and buy a new one

I need to know which would cost me the least as I am a poor student. How much would the problem cost to fix, and what car should I buy after that?

I have a Fiat Punto 3dr Hatchback 2000 W Reg. In the past month it has been shuddering and struggling up hills, and making a creaky noise when I go round corners. It sounded like I was constantly in the wrong gear.

I was driving along the motorway when it slowed right down, started smelling like burning and shuddering. I pulled off and put the hazards on and the speedo went to 0mph when I was still moving. The car bonnet was steaming/smoking for a good half an hour on the side of the motorway.

When the mechanic came to look at it straight after it broke down he said it was undrivable and didn't really know what was wrong. The engine turned on the the exhaust emitted a LOT of smoke and there was water flying out the bonnet.

The battery is now flat and I can't afford to get a more useful mechanic to come out and give me a quote so can anybody tell me what's wrong and approximately how much it will cost to replace?

My favourite band, hands down, in the world is Jimmy Eat World, but I can't understand why more people haven't heard of them/don't like them.

They have over 100 songs, have played all over the world, and are a very diversified group.

Does anyone else like this band? If so, which are you favourite songs by them?

I am currently looking for a laptop, and have dealt with slow laptops my whole life. I have seen Alienware around a lot, and I know these are good for gaming, but if I didn't use them for gaming are there any benefits of getting one? (Other than that you get the Dell Technical Support)
