I need some help to figure out what my migraines are: They are so bad I am bed ridden from pain and from weakness for days.

When I was around 8 or 9 years old I was diagnosed with migraines. I was prescribed glasses and was told to get my eyes checked frequently. I had migraines every once in a while but they were always manageable.

In high school they began getting worse and I was prescribed a migraine medicine called “Relpax”. After a couple years they switched the medicine to “Maxalt.” I am now 22 years old and was prescribed “Zolmig/Zolmitriptan” about a year ago. The doctor believed the dissolvable dose would be able to work faster and be more beneficial.

I began getting migraines about two-four times a month and the Zomig was helpful. However about two months ago my migraines increased to two-four times a week! Symptoms are:

-Left sided pain behind and to the left of my eye.

-Usually wake up with the pain, however it sometimes will appear during the day.

-Everything seems 10x brighter than normal: to the point where I can’t see very well. (This will sometimes start a little bit before the pain and can last for days.)

-Blurry vision comes and goes during pain.

-Pain will last 2-48 hours.

-Pain is severe. I’ve had several ER trips so far this year due to the pain.

-Body shakes/tremors

-Weakness (I am unable to go to school, drive, cook a meal, or anything for at least two days due to the full body weakness)

-Random Muscle Pain

-Dizziness

-Disorientation: Memory Sucks

I had a back of week of birth control on my counter and was leaving for work the other night when I accidentally grabbed that instead of my placebo pills (forgot it was the beginning of period week). I took the active pills for about 3 days before I noticed dark spotting and bad cramping. I looked at my pills and realized what has happened. My mom told me to just continue taking the active pills and things would sort themselves out. It has been 5 days and I have moderate spotting but it is very dark, almost black. When I go to the bathroom I notice huge dark clots that are bigger and darker than normal for me. I also am feeling really lethargic and crampy which is unusual. The cramping is almost as if someone is punching me in the pelvic area.

Is this a normal reaction when the placebo pills are skipped? Midol and Tylenol are not helping much.

I am 19 years old and have been diagnosed with lordosis scoliosis. I have horrible spinal pain, and hip swelling. I was diagnosed at age 15 when I was about 140lbs. I had a curvature of 41 degrees. I am no 19, 230 lbs, and a curvature of 89 degrees. My pain is usually controlled with Vicodin, nortryptiline, and anti-inflammatories. About 4 days ago I had to do a lot of stair climbing. Since then I have been in horrible pain. My hips are so swollen I cannot lay on my sides. I've been taking all of my medications and icing the areas regularly. The pain has not gone away! The soonest I can see my doctor is October 7th. I am tired of dealing with this pain and swelling. Could I go to the ER, or would that be stupid?

First off, I'm 19 years old and other than scoliosis, I'm pretty healthy. The past 6 or 7 days I've had a very weird chest pain. It feels like someone is reaching into my left chest side and squeezing it. This also comes with weird tingly sensations in my arms.

About 3 days ago I came down with a bad headache that I've had ever since. I've been feeling exhausted and just in a fog. Today I've been noticing shortness of breath. At first I thought it was anxiety but after relaxing and a to bath it is still there. My chest feels tight and every once in a while I feel,like I have to gasp for air. I have a dr apt in a few days but due to the shortness of breath I'm beginning to wonder if I should consider an ER visit. Any advice?

I feel like this is a stupid question but: I have had a lot of stress going on between my family life, my friends, and my health issues. I recently found out I might have to have major surgery to correct scoliosis. I'm 19 and live with my parents. My dad and I have never gotten along and I see a therapist. I am also on Prozac for depression.

Lately I've been nauseous, unable to keep much food down, constantly have a headache, my heart beats irregularly, and my chest hurts with occasional shortness of breath. I feel weak and just can't think. Should i go to the ER. The soonest I can see my dr is in 2 weeks.

I am an 18 year old female and was diagnosed with lordosis/lumbar scoliosis around age 12. The curve in my lower back has caused many health problems such as hip dysplasia, spinal Stenosis [narrowing of the spine] and some others. I just had a Rhizotomy procedure done to where they went into the spinal canal and cut nerve endings to reduce pain. Soon I will be starting an intense physical therapy class 2-3 a week for 8 weeks.

Over the years my curve has continued to grow slightly each year, even though I have stopped growing. I was originally 5 foot 8 and due to the curve I have shrunk down to 5 foot 5. Even after surgeries the pain is still there. The pain management doctor has told me the only surgery he knows to correct lumbar scoliosis is the Huntington Rod Surgery. I know several people who have had this surgery and had complications and more pain later in life. I want to explore all of my possible options before deciding what to do next. Has anyone had experience with this, or know of other treatment options or surgeries other than placing Rods in my spine.

Also, would you know of any online support groups. Dealing with the condition gets hard sometimes and I'd to speak with others who suffer the same thing.

I was out of school last week due to bronchitis. It was a 3 day week and my mother e-mailed and asked for me to be excused. Now they are saying that I missed 3 consecutive days [They refuse to excuse those days] and that if I miss much more they will "becca bill" me and send me to court for truancy. I have had problems with my school for years now. Last year they gave me the wrong classes and once I started those classes they took them away and gave me new ones...so I never had time to complete a class and earn the credit. Now I am not able to graduate with my friends on time. /: Do I have ANY legal ground to prove that I have done nothing wrong? I have a meeting tomorrow with the principle and my parents to discuss the problem further. I want to be able to prove I have done nothing wrong, and how can they legally over-ride the parents decision? If my parents decide I am to sick to do school work, how can they over-ride that?

I live in Washington State-I turn 18 next week-and I go to an online school.

We have had our dog, who is a Bishion frise, since he was 6 weeks old. He is now 5 years old and we have noticed a problem with him whining lately. One of our dogs is a diabetic Pomeranian and it is known that they can give off a sweat smell. Our Bishion WILL NOT leave our Pomeranian alone and insists on sniffing his but 24/7. He whines and cries hysterically almost all day and night. He also will bark and yip if you try to put him in his room. He has always been striving for attention but lately it has just increased.

He doesn't bother our other dog which is a Peke/Chua mix.

Is he in heat, not feeling well, or what else could be wrong?

It is really starting to worry us.

So I have heard on the news that Pfizer is recalling birth control pills [Ethinyl Est].

I take Watson Sronyx [Alesse]. Is it only Pfizer that is being recalled or is it all Ethinyl Est tablets?

So I had some vodka with orange juice. Only a few sips but I got really emotional afterwards. and am staggering a bit still. Anyway, I am suppose to take my 30mg prozac in about an hour...can I take it? I mean the amount the alcohol I had was probably about 4oz.

But I am super scared to take my prozac. So??

I am on my first month of Birth Control [Sronyx - Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel] and on my papers that come with my prescription it lists not to take acetaminophen with the Birth Control. I've been on Vicodin for several months now for severe migraines and was recently going to use it for pain I'm experiencing with my 1st and 2nd degree sunburns. Then I realized that vicodin has acetaminophen in it. Why is this? If it lessens the effect of the birth control I'm not that worried but will it interact with the birth control drug itself? I need something for the pain of the burn and Ibuprofen IS NOT WORKING!!

Hi there! I've been in the hospital for the past 5 days and for most of the time I was alone. I'm home now and with my parents but I'm really having trouble coping being around people and being home. I've been home for an hour and I'm so shaky and nervous, I was put in the hospital or severe stomach spasms and I still have them. They intensify with stress and I have sever panic/anxiety disorder so it's not much of a combo. Has anyone ever experienced this anxiety coming home from the hospital? Any helpful Ideas to move past it?

I was in a car accident this afternoon where a lady was in the left turn lane and decided she needed to go straight. She cut across to change lanes and hit me on the drivers side quarter panel, tire, and front bumper. Her SUV barely has a scratch buy my car's headlight is broken, I have tired marks and dents all across the front left of my car. /: I felt perfectly fine other than shaken up afterwards but once I was driving home I started feeling really sore. I was getting sharp pains on the right side of my lower back. I came home took some ibuprophen and went to bed. Now when I woke up my whole entire right side feels like it was used as a punching bag. I can't lift my right arm up too high with out bad pain and I can't bend over or twist without sharp pain on my right lower side and back. Could I have just pulled a muscle or something worse? Anyone have any ideas to help the pain. I see the doctor tomorrow morning.

P.S. I did swing to the left side pretty fast on impact but my air bags never deployed.

So, It started off having reallly intense stomach pain and throwing up. I was rushed to the hospital twice because of it. Now it is happening more often. No matter what I eat, or drink, or do I get sick. It is like food poisening but about 10 times worse. Now it happened again today. It starts with my stomach just being upset. Then pretty soon it feels like my stomach is lurching then I get sick. Sometimes it comes with extreme dizziness and headaches and shakes, sometimes it doesn't. It comes in waves also. I will fell very sick one minute and the next I feel fine. The doctors have taken ultra-sounds of my stomach, upper GI's and many many other GI tests. They can not find anything. Some days I won't eat any thing at all and I still get sick. What could be wrong??

I was on a 10 day antibiotic for a double ear infection. I ended that about 5 days ago. 4 Days ago I went swimming in a pool that had TONS of chlorine. Now I believe I have a yeast infection. I've had them before, but NEVER this bad!! I've had extreme vaginal itching aroun the labia for about 3 days now. I started the Monistat 7 day kit tonight. Now the INSIDE of my vagina itches like crazy and burns. My whole vaginal area is red and swollen. I'm in tears because the itching is so bad, and so deep in my vagina. What can I do?!?!? Is this even a yeast infection?

I have no discharge that I know of, because I'm on my period, and my flow is very heavy.

Okay so I'm thinking about having a big garage sale this summer and I'm gathering some of my stuff. How much do you think the following game items would be worth??

Nintendo 64-Console, 2 controllers, all the cords, and games. [Nintendo Mario Kart, and 4 other games including 3 racing ones.

How much do you think would be a reasonable price? I tried to sell my Nintendo 64 to a Game-Stop and they said it was too outdated to take. You would think some of these classic game consoles would be worth some money. I sure enjoyed it!

I am 17 years old, have good grades and have a steady job working with children. My parents have always been strict but it seems the older I get the stricter they get. I used to be able to go out with my best friend when I was 16, I wouldn't have to be home until midnight. I was always good about checking in on time and texting my mom to let her know where I was. Now that I turned 17, my parents promised me more freedoms, but instead have been LIMITING me! It's 10pm and I wanted to run to the store to pick me up something for dinner, and they FLIPPED about me going out so late. When I go on a date, I have to be home by 9:30....what happened? I'm trying to talk to them and be respectvul but they just say I'm talking back and being dis-respectful. It's beginning to get very irritating to where I don't want anything to do with them!! What can I say to them? What freedoms do you think a "good" 17 year old should have?

P.S. I'm also not allowed to go to the local malls, or to a couple different stores around here like Walmart or Target!!

Ive always known how one boob can be slightly larger than the other and such. They are slightly the same size (D) and I've noticed recently that my right boob seems to be super sensitive. I lay on it or on my right side and it aches, while the left one does not. I'm 17 and This has been going on for almost 2 months straight so I didnt think it could be related to my period.
