I need help with my science homework

Well...it's not really cosplay. I want to be Audrey Hepburn for Halloween but I have a pixie hair cut. Yes, she DID have a pixie cut, but I want to be accurate and nobody will recognize me unless I wear the Breakfast @ Tiffany's outfit.

Anyway, my hair is to short to put on a clip on bun so I figured I could just use a wig as a base, the problem is

as you can see there's something I need to attach the clip to. And you can't really tie wigs in ponytails (at least not ones that high up) without the back looking terrible. Right?

So what do I do?

I was thinking downtown Mesa might be a good place to explore and I wanted to check out some museums! I remember a science center and art museum near the light rail...or was that in Phoenix?Is there anything similar to that? Maybe something in the same category, but completely different? I'm looking for someplace interesting and inexpensive. I've seen some free art houses before that you can just walk in...is there anything like that as well?

What would be some good weapons to use that were EASY ACCESS and that you'd be able to get post apocalypse? You know, nothing that you'd have to order online, something you could find at your basic sporting goods store, pawn shop or gun store.
