I created a new product, focusing on college sports fans. I have not reached out to a university as of yet. I want to start with my local colleges in my state. How should I start to Market to these universities. More specific, who should I start with. Should I start with the athletic department, or are there other departments that usually handle this type of stuff. This is not Jersey Shore any type of clothing that Nike or Adidas would make. So I don t have to compete with those two giants.

I wan't to write a story about My Great X 5 - Grandfather. He is a famous Native American within our tribe. Though there is not much printed about him. There are a few historical events, and some old folk tales out there. So not all I write will be factual events. I just want to make a great story, using a few factual events, and the rest is in my head.

So can I do this, legally. Using his name and factual events. He is deceased of course, and I am a direct decedent.

I am considering a job in Oakland. I don't know much about the area. A friend told me that it has a high crime rate. My internet research of this shows that it does have high crime rate. So I need some feedback on some safe places in Oakland or a city near Oakland. I will be willing to live 20 or 30 miles outside of Oakland. I've been trading stocks on and off for about a year, so I'm new to all of this and learning bit by bit. I don't have enough money to open a margin account to become a day trader, so I'm trying to figure out how to maximize my profit potential. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

So here is my question?

I was thinking about buying a stock that pays a dividend of nearly $3 per year. The ex-div date is coming up. I can get in before, and collect the dividends. I decided to check all the ex-div dates to see what other stocks may be paying out dividends soon. Is it a good strategy to get in a dividend paying stock and collect the dividends, then get out, looking for another one to get in to?

Does this work like this? Why or why not.

What I want - Great sound with great mids. I want to here my music, with some bass. Basically, I need some kick and punch but don't need SUPER BASS and don't need to be heard from all the way down the block.

I don't have an Amp in mind, but from what I read, I want to go with 4ohms.

I want to go with two alpines listed above.

Please make any recommendation or provide any information you may have based on that information. If I should go with a less powerful sub, or different brand say so.

I own a 2000 Lincoln LS. 104,XXX Miles. From 1st gear to 2nd gear, I can feel a jerk. It does not happen when shifting in any other gears. It does not happen when I down shift either. Only shifting from 1st to 2nd.

Also, from time to time, when I shift from Neutral to Drive, or from Reverse to Drive and visa versa, it will take about a second before it gets into gear. This does not happen all the time, but it does happen from time to time.

I am going to take it in later this week to have my tranny inspected. I just want to know before I do, am I looking at a complete overhaul, or is this something that a simple service or small repair will fix.

So here is some background. I work in the private security industry, not the best industry to work in I know. I started out as a Security Guard and worked my way up to a Lead Officer within a few years. About a year later, I moved in to another department. Similar to a Security Control Room. I'm still at the bottom of the totem pole. Anyways, long story short, I have been with the company for 7 years now. I have since received my Bachelors Degree in Business Management, and nearly done with my MBA. I have plenty of other management training such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Total Quality Management Training. I have owned several small businesses, nothing to speak about, just myself in business for myself, but I do have that experience.

I recently applied for a Supervisor position in my department but was passed over. Again, in my department, I'm at the bottom of the totem pole. In the interview, I was actually asked if I believed in aliens. Just kind of unprofessional in my opinion. So this is what I was told, why I didn't get the position. "We feel your not willing to break the procedures in place, when needed to do so to get the job done." Yes, in the interview I was asked, what would I do if I needed to break the procedures or policies to get things done. Well, I said "I would not break procedures or polices but if procedures or policies needed to be altered or changed to be more efficient then we would need to look into that." Best answer I could think of at the moment, and as I look back, I think I would still answer the same.

Anyways, this has been eating at me for a while. I just let it go and just show up to work everyday with envy of my management team, as they are getting paid more, but really more important to me, getting the experience under their belt and something to put on their resume. It is hard for me to move in to another industry so I can't just quit. It is competitive in the job hunt, and experience plays more of a factor than education.

As much as my company talks and writes about honesty and integrity, I can't see how I did not get chose for the position based on my unwillingness to break policies and procedures.

What would you do.

I asked this question before, but still not too clear. I owe about $500 in State sales taxes with State of Washington. Operate my business on a cash method. I'm completing my Fed Tax return, which is filed together with my personal taxes. Can I claim the State Sales taxes as a business expense?

I'm completing my taxes for the IRS. Last year I had a business which I had to pay State Business taxes for last years revenue. I filed my State Business Taxes this January and owe about $500 in taxes.

Can I deduct that amount from this years Federal return, or do I need to wait till I file next year, because I have not paid that Tax due, it is just outstanding as of right now. But it is tax due from last year's activity.

I have a T-Shirt Idea? My idea will include a public figure. I do understand copyright laws, but what I do not understand is how T-Shirt printing companies print celebrities and/or public figures without being sued. Or are they being sued. I'm trying to find this information online.

For example, when President Obama was elected for President, the market was flooded with Obama T-shirts. It is still a hot seller. I know all these printing companies did not go out and get the rights to use these images. So are they getting sued, or no one is just bothering with them?

I want to start on my idea, and I believe it will sell millions of Shirts. If I market it right. But the image is a public figure, I don't even have an image, but there will be no way I can take my own photo. And no way I can get permission from the person themselves.

How does this work in the T-Shirt printing business.

I have a great idea for a T-Shirt. I want to start making them or having them made and begin to market them. I am looking online and online sites that will allow you to do custom designs and they print them and ship them. I don't know if this is the best way to go to save the most money on production.

Do you know of any good sites that will print custom designs and ship, at a low cost for product. Or should I check out a local T-shirt printing business. Please help with this, because I have not researched T-Shirt companies before?

Here is my situation. I'm going to national guard, and after basic I will be going to OCS?

Now I am enlisting under the Student Loan Repayment Program. I don't know how that plays out with going to OCS or if Officers still qualify. But My recruiter says he can do it, so I will wait to see it in my contract.

My main question is about the Post 9/11 GI Bill. I tried to look for some information on the Web, but it is still not clear on some parts to me. When I finish basic and OCS, do I qualify for this benefit right away, or is it only based on time served in active duty? Being in the Guard, who knows when I will get active duty time, besides my basic and OCS. But after that, I will not be on activity duty!

So please explain how this works if you can. Also, if I qualify after training, will it be for the full amount?

So what exactly does this means and how does the Student loan repayment plan affect GI Bill benefits?

I have a 98 Volvo. Power Locks. The doors will Lock using the keyless remote and using the power lock button from the inside. But the back doors will not unlock with either. The front doors work just fine. Nothing else is failing electronically. I can hear the motor trying to push the locks up. At least I think that is what I hear.

I found similar issues online. I found that it may be Body Control Module. I called a few car shops, and it will cost me $100 just for a diagnostics. That does not include the price for parts or labor.

I need this taken car of soon, because my wife needs to drive the car and the kids ride with her. It is dangerous because the back doors will not unlock.

I am pretty handy, so any advice will help. NO FUSES are blown. I triple checked all of them.

Or maybe the starter? When i turn the key there is only one click. It is not a click click click click like i would think it would be if it is a starter issue. The click sounds like it comes from the alternator. And the belt on the alternator looks like it is trying to spin. All the electrical still works when i turn the power on but it seemed like the windows were going up and down slower. I tried to jump it, left the battery hooked up for about 10 minutes and it did not even begin to crank over. Didn't change a thing.

So based on this info, where should i start. Battery, alternator, starter. I dont have a way of testing anything without getting a tow.

When I have the shower on, for even 5 minutes, my bathroom wall drips yellow nasty looking liquid. The entire bathroom, all 4 walls plus the ceiling. I have the vent on, I turn it on before I take a shower and it is on pretty much all day. I even open the window when I shower.

Any ideas. I have to clean the walls everytime I shower, unless I want ugly streaks on my walls. Can my apartment complex address this issue, or is there nothing that can be done.

I have been working in the Private Security industry for almost 7 years. I know the law, or thought I did. I know that a private security guard has no more authority than any American Citizen. I just took a part time job as a security guard in an apartment complex. Last night I was training, and lo and behold, Wonder Woman was training me. We were out to save the world.

This guy in a truck skidded his tires on property and she stopped to talk to him. He was still sitting in his truck, might have been drunk, that is subjective. and he didn't understand English. She demanded that he turned off his truck. That right there is cutting it close by trying to detain him. Then she demanded that she see his DL. Well when she went to the back to read his plate he drove off. She was yelling at another trainee to not let him go. Clear admission of trying to detain. She made a statement that she was about to stick her hand in the truck and turn it off and take out his keys.

I didn't say anything, I just listened to her.

The way I have understood it, and I have not confirmed this with actual LAW, is that we can only detain someone if he/she has committed a crime. And I don't think Security has the right to request DL, 4th Amendment Laws right? In no way can we stick our hand in another person's vehicle and take the keys.

Someone with knowledge of law or the security field shed some light on this before I make a fool of myself. I live in WA STATE and trying to find the laws on this, but I don't have a lot of time today.
