When described verbally B is called magnetic flux density and is said to be the flux passing through unit area

It is given the units Newton metre per ampere which is a force

When described verbally H is called magnetic field strength with the units ampere per metre which appears NOT to be a force.

Can anyone explain the apparent contradiction here.
