Even after having been in the car for 5+ minutes, the air still is not blowing out anything that I would call cool/cold (even at coldest setting) and stays that way. There is no problem with the blower, and the control panel seems to be fine (i.e. all lights/buttons seem to be ok). Heat works great. Am not sure whether I need to take it to a shop, or if my first step should be to add some refrigerant/charge it. It has been really hot (85 at least to mid 90's daily) but our other car seems to be able to handle the heat just fine. Thanks for your help!

Let me preface this by saying I am NOT a computer geek. My husband is a computer software engineer but works tons of hours so he hasn't been able to sit and figure this out yet. Just got a new laptop with Windows. I will be using a browser (either IE or Chrome) and all of a sudden a page will pop up showing me XBox Movies. Unfortunately, there is no "X" in the corner to close out the window and I have tried to hit the escape button several times with no success. I have resorted to "Control/Alt/Delete" to use task manager to remove it. My husband did figure out last night that by hitting the Windows button next to ALT on left side of space bar that you can also make it disappear but I want it gone for good! I don't want to be doing something important like paying my bills, etc... and have that pop up and possible screw things up! Does anyone else have this problem? And, does anyone know how to solve it? Thanks for your help in advance.

Noticed that the toilet was not working correctly and took the lid off the tank to discover it was not filling up with water after flushing. (We do not have a toilet with a ball in it if that helps answer this) Saw that there was no water/very little coming through the toilet refill tube that connects into the overflow tube. In order to at least flush the toilet the next time, we filled a bucket with water and poured it into the tank. The second time we did this, my husband noticed that when he turned on the water in the tub to fill the bucket, water started to flow out of the refill tube. So, everytime we flush the toilet now, we have to reach over and turn on the tub to make the water to start flow from the tube! Even then, sometimes it doesn't work fully, and the tank doesn't fill up all the way. Also, after it has filled up, we can still here some strange hissing noises, and I did notice that sometimes the refill tube does leak where it's connected to the (forgive me if I don't use the proper name for this part!) area near the cap. I'm not sure how to proceed with this. We have fixed things around the house before that were simple, but we aren't even sure where to start! Any ideas or suggestions on what this might be/how to deal with it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My husband just called and noticed that there was smoke coming from the AC vent when AC was turned on, says it smells...but haven't been able to call him back to describe the smell. It has been very hot here (90's) and husband drove car 45 mins home last night from work. Wasn't sure if that makes a difference??

Pls include as much detail as you can. Am afraid they are a "fly by night" company who screws you over! Also, do they keep/sell their mortgages? Anyone w/experience w/that? Thanks!!!

I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have been experiencing a great deal of pain, obviously, both now and prior to the diagnosis. I have been to the emergency room twice when the pain was so severe I thought I was going to lose my mind. (I had back labor with my daughter and also had a forceps delivery...the epidural did nothing for my pain...worst pain in my life and the pain I am having now is either the same or worse than labor!) I am taking pain meds now (oxycodone 10/325 w/apap) 3 times a day and some days it barely contains the pain. I will begin Lyrica tomorrow but wondered how long will it be before it takes effect?

I was given a multi-colored/floral couch from my mom-in-law. It is a beautiful floral print, however, the area along the couch where your head would normally rest is stained by a hair coloring rinse my mom-in-law used. I have tried some oxi-clean stuff but it didn't work very well. The stain has been there for a while. Am not sure what fabric it is, but it has a smooth almost silky feeling to it. Also wondering how to get stains off the arms from normal body oils built up over time from people putting their arms on it. Thanks!

My husband and I have been invited to an awards dinner hosted by his employer, at a lovely venue. The invitation says "formal business attire is requested". I have looked all over the internet and have yet to find a consistent answer to what constitutes "formal business attire". My husband will be wearing a dark suit, white shirt. Since I am not the employee should I wear a cocktail dress? I have a "little black dress" that is not overly short (knee length) and has spaghetti straps. After I bought it I wondered if I had bought something inappropriate? I also have a sleeveless short dress, with a bolero jacket that is green (emerald green) and is made of a satiny like material....other than that my dress wardrobe is limited. I do have a long-sleeved velvet dress but since the awards ceremony is Sept. 14, was not sure it would be appropriate! I have also considered e-mailing to ask the woman who is the contact for the RSVPs but will that make make me look dumb!? Please help!
