I am desperately starved for reading material, and since the holiday season is fast approaching, there's no better time to start reading new authors. I call myself a fantasy author, but I have no idea what's going on currently in that particular genre aside from a few notables, so I'm looking for that genre in particular. I am not looking for the following: The Lord of the Rings, The Dark Tower, The Sword of Truth, His Dark Materials, A Song of Wind and Fire, The Wheel of Time.

But what I am looking for are similar series that are not made with children in mind but could be read by one, i,e; no awkward harlequin-style sex scenes, also that has been written and completed within the last 30 years. Unless the above series are the only ones that qualify, I don't know. If there are no series you can think of, individual fantasy books that meet the criteria that you found excellent can be suggested as well.

I'm looking for the best of the best, with every play, every sonnet, easy to read, with notations on some of the dead words and a book that is high quality and won't fall apart, like my teacher's did.

I figure that there has to be someone here who owns a Complete Shakespeare. I'm not a student, nor am I a scholar, I'm just looking to read all of his works in one easy book.

I'm not in college, nor am I a "scholar" of Shakespeare as Amazon seems to say a lot on their pages for books...

I'm mainly looking to have a good collection of all of his plays and sonnets, notes explaining some older/dead words are definitely something I'm looking for, and overall quality of the book, something that won't fall apart.

Best thing would be a collection and then seperately a "companion" piece by the same publisher, with a glossary and essays and such, but if what you would call the "best" isn't like that, oh well.

I'm looking for the best there is.

Okay, let's say you're reading a fantasy book and the hero murders someone. Well, technically murders someone. In this instance the hero is mistaken for someone else, someone who has a large price on their head and a man tries to capture the hero while the hero is sleeping in the man's house. The hero wakes up in shock and stabs the man, killing him. It only takes a second, a reflex almost.

Now, what if the person the hero kills has a wife and two children, and the person is killed in front of their family?

Would you ever be able to sympathize with the hero again? I ask this because my current story deals with such a situation and I want to know what potential readers would think of such a hero.

Now, a second part, what if the person survives the wound, but only after the hero has moved on, would that make it more likely for you to sympathize with the hero even though they believe they are murderers?

I'm writing a story right now and in it someone is stabbed, very briefly, with a saber. Think like a marine's saber. It goes in enough so four or five inches is sticking out the back of the person, then it is withdrawn. Is it possible for someone to survive such a wound? Like, if it misses the organs. If it's not possible with a saber but with another sword I'd gladly change the type of sword in question.

If medicine isn't the best place for this(it's an odd question and I'd think somebody here would be knowledgeable about human anatomy enough to know this) where would be a better place? I mean, it is an odd question.

I can't find a single target near me where you do this and I have no way of knowing if the people I've asked are just stupid and have no clue what I'm talking about, so if anyone here has could you tell me what store. It'd be appreciated.

It's possible I've heard it on at the simpons, among other shows, and it has to be from a movie, but it is not from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, I am sure of that.

It's kind of a sad theme, I think it consists of whistling, or something that sounds like it, and it's always used in the context of a staredown or duel, if anyone knows, that'd be great, it's been bugging me for some time.

I had asked about internet jobs and found most if not all to be suspect. I have indeed found telecommuting to be the best for me, what I need is a website where I can apply for jobs without having to pay anything ever, regular jobs where I have to file taxes and get paid by check every week or two. I'm looking for jobs in writing, editing, or proofreading, I am good in all three.

For various reasons I cannot find a job around my home, and since I can't get a car for some time I need a job in the interim. I am living with my parents but they work at odd, and often unreliable times, no job is that flexible for me. I also do not have any friends or relatives willing to offer rides so I am stuck. I have been employed in the past and want to seriously do work online, putting in 40 hours a week like you would working anywhere else. I've looked but can only find schemes and scams, I want to work for an actual company that pays employees online but from my home, hopefully with little requirements. Does anybody know of anything like this?
