A friend rebuilds Bentley sedans into Bentley sports cars. He is very skilled but recently commented that he could not find any books on car coach body building. I am looking for recommendations. He is interested in the wooden frames beneath the body skins, etc.

I use Firefox 14.01. on XP Home SP3. In the last few days, anything driven by Flash has lost its thumbnail and been replaced by the stylized F (Flash) logo. Where have my thumbnails gone on videos?

I want to create specific playing card hands to share and discuss with my bridge partner. Is there software available that allows me to do this, preferably freeware? I don't want to play the hands, just create them graphically.

I have the usual exterior home heating oil metal tank. It has a standard float gauge on it, a little glass tube with a pointer that goes up and down. I would like to fit a similar wired electronic gauge that reads inside the house. I envisage something like an exterior temperature gauge but for oil level. I am unable to find any reference to such a device on a web search. Any ideas? Links would be appreciated.

After using Windows Movie Maker, I now find it cannot handle HD video. I am looking for a free (a must) video editor that does a similar job.

I have several video downloader programmes but they work on a limited number of sites. I want to be able to record streaming video from any site streaming video into my computer. If the data is coming in, surely it can be captured by something. Site links for the download would be appreciated.

I am getting into stained glass and finding the regular copy paper I use is not quite durable enough when it gets wet at the grinding wheel. Is there a particular (special) type of paper I should be using? What is the best glue to use? I want a glue that holds through the grinding process but one which will soak off the glass.

I have started using torrent downloads and settled on isoHunt as the torrent site I like the best. I am now looking for the best guide to using the interface but can't find one. They have umpteen questions and answers, forums, etc., but what I am looking for is an item by item explanation of all the symbols and information across the page for each entry. I have a video burned to disk as a VOB file. I have set my drive to play VOB files (via file properties) using VLC Media Player yet when I click to play it insists on opening up in Windows Media Player where it simply won't play. I can clcik individual chapters to play in VLC but how do I play the whole movie? Why will it not play in VLC by default when I have set it to do so?

I love non-stick bakeware, not the sort of non-stick black material that lines frying pans but the golden colour bakeware that is great when it is new. However, over time it darkens and stains until finally it must be thrown away. Scrubbing it just wears away the material. Is there a better way to care for it or is it just the way it is? Suggestions please.

The finest restaurants always serve hot food on warmed plates. However, run of the mill restaurants often do not bother. I end up being served a good meal on a thick cold plate ensuring it is all but cold before I am half finished. I am looking for web references from cooking schools or other authorities that give guidance on this. Buffets in particular drive me nuts. The food is not as hot as a la carte. The stacked plates are always cold. Even those in plate warmer racks are cold because the warmer is switched off or broken.

If you go into any restaurant, fancy or otherwise, and buy a bowl of soup, it is served with a "soup" spoon. The soup spoon is a circular, deep little cup in shape, as opposed to an oval, shallow dessert type spoon. However, try buying one! Every cutlery set for sale includes dessert type spoons but not soup spoons. I have been to all kinds of kitchen supply shops and none sells proper soup spoons. Where can I find them to purchase? I am in Nova Scotia but have looked in various parts of Canada.

Many years ago I purchased a herbicide called Gramoxone and have been delighted with its effectiveness. I am a home gardener. However, I now find it can be purchased only by licensed experts. The brand name herbicides cost a fortune in comparison. Can anyone recommend a product or generic herbicide that is effective and relatively cheap?

I have never been able to copy DVDs yet I read it is easy. What site provides the best guidance?

I have a 1994 Buick Park Avenue in very good shape. However, as a car gets older some of the things don't work like they used to. The electronic key tag that lets you open the doors remotely no longer works. It's not the tag but something in the car itself. As it's an old car I decided just to use the key itself. However, every so often and for an unknown reason, when I open the door using the key the integral GM theft alarm starts blasting. The only way to stop the alarm is to press the remote key tag WHICH DOESN'T WORK! Is there a way to disable the alarm? Is there a fuse I can remove or something like that? Of course, if there is a fix for the remote key tag I'd be even happier to hear about that.

I have a medium sized dog. He hates being left behind at home but is never a problem if we do. However, if we are away on a trip and leave him in the car while we shop or are in a restaurant he gets really upset with a distraught look in his eyes. He pushes against the glass facially pleading for our return. He never settles, barking a fair bit and obviously worrying if we'll ever return. As soon as the car is moving he settles and usually sleeps. I'm looking for some suggestions as to how we can get him to relax and settle calmly while left in the car.

We have had him since 12 weeks old. He is five years old, is a cross between a boxer and a bulldog, weighs about 55 lbs, never causes any damage or any problem. He is never left in any uncomfortable circumstances. There is no history of anything happening to him in the car. My concern is to calm him rather than solving any problems for ourselves. He's a real sweetheart in every other circumstance.

For Windows XP Home edition, when you right click on the desktop and select properties, under the Display Properties > Desktop tab there is a list of Background options that are preset, but the Browse button lets you insert personal pictures into that list and therefore to have those pictures as your desktop background. My question is, once you have put a picture into that list, how do you remove it? If you right click on it all you see is a What's This? option. I don't see any way to remove the personal pictures.

If you look closely at the plastic headllight lenses on modern cars, they all seem to have three or four little plastic projections on them. These really get in the way when you are wiping the lenses or scraping ice on them. What are they for?

There seems to be so much poor grammar and spelling on this and other sites that I wonder what is being taught in schools today. Is such a low standard of English acceptable, or does it display a lack of respect for the reader who does not seem to warrant the effort required to produce postings of a reasonable standard? Lately I have noticed sentences after sentences in postings with no capitals.
