  • What is this necklace? Photo included.?

    While digging out an old hedge in my back garden, tangled in the roots was the head of this necklace.

    The roots were approx. 2ft down, the house was built in the 1950s.

    From my basic research I've found that the star is the Star of David. The central hand is a Hamsa, protection from the evil eye (seen surrounding).

    The metal appears to be bronze/brass, I could be wrong.

    How did it get into my garden in Southern England? Oh and is it worth anything? Money is nice :)

  • Trooping the colour. Horse question.?

    Hey all, just watching Trooping the Colour on TV.

    The horses are always very disciplined, but they never "empty their bowels" during the parade.

    How do they train the horses not to defecate?

    (I mean poo or wee really, but didn't want the question banned!)

  • Indesit washing machine, vibrating away!?

    I have an Indesit WIXE127. Only just out of warranty.

    In the last week, during the spin cycle, the dreaded appliance begins to vibrate wildly and begins to walk itself forward.

    The machine is on a flat, hard surface. Its feet are even. The machine has worked well for the past 12months, but this problem is recent.

    Have the dampers/springs gone slack?

    Won't pay extortionate call-out fee for repair, wanna repair it myself.

    Any ideas???

  • Why is my ATI catalyst control centre not starting?

    Tonight, I have updated the drivers for my ATI raedon X1950PRO.

    The version of the new drivers is 8.3.

    The drivers installed correctly, and I also installed the catalyst control centre with them.

    After rebooting, I noticed that the small ATI icon in the taskbar was not present. Also, when trying to manually start the control centre, nothing happens.

    I have Vista home professional. For my sins :)

    I have added an exception to the DEP to allow all ATI applications.

    I have created an exception in the firewall for ATI apps.

    But still, no catalyst control centre.

    Please help! I use it all the time for overclocking.

  • How do you make the thai dish "Gang Dang?"?

    I had it in a thai restaurant a month ago. It had chicken, peppers and other vegetables in it.

    It almost tasted of peanuts, but REALLY strong flavours, almost blew my head off but I love it!
