  • Which piano should I buy?

Do any of you more experienced musicians have any advice or suggestions? I am okay with buying used again if I have to, I know that 3,000 - 5,000 is a hard range for anything new that is decent. I'm not very good with technical terms or anything. It's an acoustic Wurlitzer. I don't really know how old it is, I bought it from an older couple whose kids had moved out years and years ago and they just didn't sell it for awhile. Their kids did not treat it well, either.

I don't really want anything super fancy like a grand piano, especially with a price range like I have.

So I guess what I really want to know is what should I look for in a piano? What brand is a good one for someone who isn't a beginner but also isn't a professional? I really like mine, it just isn't really holding up anymore :(

  • Muscles do not relax, why?

so for about three years now, my muscles have been doing this weird thing where they do not want to relax. Specifically, after exercise. I have tried different exercises and none seem to be good or any different than the last, even if I make a habit out of it. The muscle areas effected are usually my lower ones; legs, bottom. I usually feel very anxious as well.

I also have sensory processing disorder, which I hear is on it's way to a diagnosis. Is it possible that this muscle issue is a part of the SPD?

I would really like some help with knowing what this is because I am struggling with my PE credits at school.

  • Is it okay to only occasionally wear cat eye make up?

I mean like is it okay to just wear it once in the week and then not again for a long time? Instead of everyday?

    Especially if it isn't drastic?

I know how you wear your make up is up to you, but I was just wondering how other people view this.

  • How do these cranial whatever checks work...?

So I started seeing a psychiatrist recently for some mental health issues and working it out with my school. He isn't so worried about coping mechanisms right now because I've already worked through that with a therapist, but more focused on figuring out *why* this problem started. I think that's great, so he called a pediatric type place and I am having some "cranial" check? I have NO idea what it is, something about the temporal lobe or some crazy stuff like that. I don't even know what it is that they are going to do. I haven't found anything on Google and the sign-up forms they sent don't say anything. Is it like an MRI?

I really need to know, I don't have an appt. for like another month and I am stressing about it as though it is tomorrow. Should I just call them maybe?

    Thanks!

  • Do they think I'm older than I really am?

So I finally decided to sit with this group of seniors at my school. They don't seem to have a problem with it, except that they keep makin snide comments about freshmen. I completely totally understand how everyone in the school generally just has a strong dislike for the youngest grade, it happens in middle school too. But I mean, they are saying these things as though I'm not there. "Everyone is ugly in freshmen year, I was." "Freshmen don't know anything." "Some stupid freshmen were saying it."

So my question is... Do they just not see me as "one of those annoying freshmen"? Is that why they talk like that? Or should I just stop sitting with them? I am often mistaken for being much older, have even ever since I was 10. So maybe they just don't think about it? Idk... I have bad social anxiety and I don't want to sit with them if they are bothered by me...

  • Should I pursue being friends with him?

So. I have social anxiety and this situation calls for hep of peers and wiser minds maybe.

Backstory: 9th grade this year. Met a girl in gym class who seemed pretty chill. She asked me out and I kindly told her that I am straight but as long as she was okay, I would still be her friend. She sits with a group of seniors who are very friendly to her as well as me. I've only sat with them a couple times.

Yesterday after school, one of the guys started talking to me and said "you have to talk more!" And he said it again today. But how do I sit with them without being awkward?? Like I've envisioned it 1million times but yeah. I have a lot of social issues. And the girl who asked me out... Well she has been snubbing me quite a bit when I've been nothing but nice. What should I do?!? Do you think they really wouldn't mind if I joined? I mean they said it was okay. But what do you think.

  • I may have PCOS, am stressing about how it works?

So there is a chance I have PCOS. My sister has it as well, and I know that shouldn't determine if I have any traces of it or not, but it's just a thing I think about. I have quite a few of the symptoms. Anyway, my question isn't whether or not you think I have it. That's a question I'd ask my doctor.

I wanted to know, from your experiences, how I would get it checked out? I am young and do NOT want them putting a tube up my 'area'. I know that there are options like blood work and ultra sounds, but I'm really worried? My mom is thinking about setting up an appointment for me and I'm just wondering what I'm supposed to do and what happens if they suspect you have it. Like when they do the ultrasound, how far down do they go? Are you able to keep your pants on? Can you just lift your shirt instead of taking it off? I know these might seem silly but I"m really worried. Like I'm really modest and I would hate having to take off my clothes and having a tube go up my v is out of the question.

    Thanks!

  • What was that? A panic attack?

Okay so I had panic attacks when I was little. My family would laugh because is scream "I can't breathe!! I can't breathe!!!" Over things that now seem minor, but looking back on it it was definitely a panic attack. I haven't had any since that age but today I think I might have? But what do you think?

I was bakin cookies and I felt very stressed and couldn't finish the task. I felt stressed and anxious and I couldn't think and I was shaky. I felt very angry and had pent up emotion. I threw my stuff down and took a shower and couldn't breathe and cried and am still stressed. No one in my house understands and so I can't tell them...was this a panic attack or what?

  • I always feel the need to say "Sorry"?

I always feel the need to apologize to everyone I meet, even if all the social interactions we've had go alright. I do have major social issues and anxiety, so that could be a factor maybe? When I was a kid I use to say it a lot and people would either get mad or make fun of me. So I stopped doing it but always feel guilty for everything I do.

Do you think it's a confidence problem or what? Thanks ~

  • Why do I feel so attached?

Why is it that I get these really strong feelings whenever there is something I like? I mean whenever I watch a disney movie I suddenly am obsessed and have dreams about it and know the songs by heart. I know lots of people are like that but then also whenever I read a book and there is a male character who is really genuine and what not and I just get obsessed and think about it and idk why? Does anyone else have this problem? It's mostly with male characters that I have this thing with, you know? Is that weird :S

  • Is there medication for misophonia?

My misophonia is getting really bad now, and I was wondering if there is any medication I can take to help lessen the anxiety or something?

I know that misophonia is not curable. But is there any medication that won't make me dopey but lessen all this tenseness, hatred, and anger? And maybe make the sounds not seem so bad? :S thanks

  • Hair overgrowth in a teen girl?

Please don't hate. I've dealt with that my whole life.

Okay so I'm a teenager and I think I have a hormonal imbalance? Basically I have very dark hair starting st my ankle going all the way up my back, and in the front from my ankle to my mid section. It is very thick and coarse on my arms, and I have a girl mustache as well as sideburns. I told my mother about my concerns and she brushed it off, saying "you know how to use a razor don't you?" And I don't know if I feel comfortable telling my dad who is more understanding.

I start to cry when I talk about it because I'm super sensitive so it's hard to go to anyone. I also have very thick dark hair on my head, so do you think this is all just because I come from a long line of thick dark hair or because of a hormone imbalance? Should I just bite the bullet and shave my whole self and get waxes or see a doctor? Thanks...

I'm really worried about this :S

  • LDS women/teens how did you say no to dates?

So I have a question specifically for lds women or teen girls. Or people who have the same standards as this.

If there was a guy you liked who liked you back, but neither of you were 16, how dud you handle it? If he asked you out (and he wasn't lds/didn't have the same standards) how did you respond? Or did you give in? I'd like experiences please. Thanks :)

If you aren't lds but can't date until you're 16 or older you can still answer :)

  • My earring holes started bleeding?

So I am coming up on having my ears pierced for one week. It is a double piercing. I have been twisting them occasionally, cleaning them twice a day, and washing my hands before touching. I do have sensitive ears and skin. Tonight I was cleaning them and there was a large amount of blood that came out.

Usually there is just a little and my mom said that's normal. But there was like a lot of blood, and just in the one ear. Is this normal or should I be worried? Thanks.

  • Can I take my earrings out for a little while?

I just got my ears pierced yesterday for the third time. (Once when I was 6, closed up. Now I have a double piercing.) I have super sensitive ears and I constantly touch them or they twitch, and I was wondering if it's okay to take my earrings out for a couple minutes every once in awhile?

Also, can I take them out to sleep? I'm thinking maybe I should wait a week or two and then I could probably take them out to sleep or shower? Thanks for any help!

  • Is there a condition for ears that are sensitive to touch?

So I have very sensitive ears. I don't like them being touched by hands or by hair or hats. I also have SPD(sensory processing disorders) and cannot stand certain noises. But my nephew (not blood related) who is 4 also has sensitive ears. He hates when they are touched, and sometimes they get red if they are touched too much or too hard. Sometimes when he is on my lap when I read, he will casually cover one ear like my voice or breathe is bothering him.

    So I have two questions:

Will he also have SPD like me or is too early to tell?

Is there a name for this problem we both have?

    Thanks!!!

  • Does anyone else feel this way about people who blog?

Let me start off with: Please don't be offended. I'm just asking if anyone else feels this way after reading certain blogs or even after having their own blog.

Okay, so recently I have read quite a few blogs. I haven't followed anyone, but an article will come up after searching for something on google, you know? So anyway, I was reading a couple. Then I felt like all of the people typing were coming across as 'big-headed'. Am I getting ahead of myself? It just seems like they think they're better than everyone and are free to express their opinion without potentially hurting other human's feelings.

Am I getting the wrong idea? And please, don't take offense to this if you are a blogger. If you are a blogger, do you feel like you have had a confidence boost since getting your work out there?

    Thanks.

It just disappeared. Now it is still telling me to uninstall but

I can't find it??? I'm worried that I messed everything up.

What can I do? Please help!

  • Sims 3 can't go steady?

Okay so I have been playing Sims 3. I made one active sim, a young adult. She got a job then left for University, and she had two boyfriends while there. Then she came back and the roommate that moved in was a guy, and they liked each other so I had her pursue the relationship. The relationship bar is maxed out, and it only says "romantic interest". She can never propose going steady though?? I know other people have this problem but I haven't seen any real solutions. I haven't used the photo booths.

How do I fix this? :/ Is it because she already had two previous relationships??

    Thanks!!
