18 years ago I moved into my home near a small recreation field. I knew there would be some noise but was prepared to deal with it. The field has grown into a COMPLEX with a roller hockey rink at the end of my property and 7 softball fields; one about 50 feet from my bedroom wall. The Town started renting the fields out to teams from all over the county, so maintenance starts as early as 6:30 AM and goes until 11 PM. In the past couple of years they spent over $1M in new lighting so it's like living in Yankee Stadium. They started using it for the annual Town Carnival and Summer Camp -so there is NEVER a quiet season. Winter is Roller Hockey season, and that is LOUD! They bang on the boards and yell and scream. I'm not saying kids shouldn't have fun and make noise. But it seems that the Town never even considers people live nearby. There are noise ordinances in town, but none of them apply to the Town. At one time I had a chain link fence, and people thought it was OK to use it as a place to pee, feed my dogs, or throw their garbage. I went to Mayor and Council meetings to ask for some sort of help in finding some relief. They did nothing but tell me to call if there was ever problems. When I call they infer that I'm a killjoy. I ended up putting up a 6' stockade fence at my expense. Now I have a problem with kids at the hockey rink playing LOUD music-my windows rattle with the bass. I don't think the town will ever do anything to help, so how do I learn to cope?

His food sinks and he never eats from the bottom. He has a 5 gallon tank all to himself, but I'm wondering if I can get a catfish or algae eater to clean up the food that sinks to the bottom?

I use ground turkey a lot. I bought a fresh package from the grocery store the other day and the package has a sell by date of 3/13. When I took it out of the package it had a very strong poultry smell - that's the only way I can describe it. I don't recall it smelling like that before. I proceeded to make turkey meatloaf anyway and it's cooking right now, but just wondering if anyone else has noticed a poultry smell and if it's normal. Thanks.

I am trying to upload a Flip video to Facebook. I've done it before with no problem. It's a small size video. It takes me thorough the wizard, I click on the video I want to share, then it asks me to login to FB. I log in and the FB window says OK to close and go back to Flip, but when I do it keeps saying "Logging in". The Flip application just doesn't see to connect to FB. Any suggestions?

My dryer was working fine this morning, then put in another load, and all of a sudden the dryer wouldn't work. It seems like there is no power - the dial isn't making those little clicking noises when I put on. What might cause the electric to just stop. I checked the circuit breaker, turned it on and off and nothing happens. Any ideas?

My friend just found out her daughter is pregnant. Went for ob.gyn visit and ultrasound put her at 26 weeks. Also just found out that she is rh-negative and the father is rh-positive. From what I have been reading, it usually isn't a problem in the first pregnancy and that she will have to have a shot at 28 weeks, as well as right before labor. She is going for all kinds of tests tomorrow. Is there any way to find out now if the baby has been affected?

The power was only off for a minute. The CPU was plugged into a surge protector along with the monitor. The monitor is fine, but as soon as I press the on button on the CPU, it starts to turn on, but as soon as the green light comes on, it powers off. Any ideas?

The person I bought my house from is holding the mortgage. I want to claim the interest on the mortgage, but he won't give me his social security number. THis has been going on for ten years, and I'm sure he's not claiming the mortgage payment as income on his taxes. What should I do?

I bought my house in 1999 and the previous owner held (and still holds) the mortgage. I never claimed the interest because he wouldn't give me his Social Security number. Can I claim all of the interest from the last ten years on my 2009 tax return? Do I need to use a special form?

Not only in the house, but in the garden. Every time I go to plant something the soil is teeming with ants and their eggs - so disgusting! I don't remember them being so bad other years. I'm in the northeast, maybe it's from all of the rain?

I was diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder years ago and was prescribed Xanax .05 mg. When I feel a panic attack coming on, I take 1/2 of a pill. It really helps. My question is this. If I take a whole pill, it makes me fall asleep, so how could people use this as a recreational drug and still function without falling asleep?

My son has a one year old son. The baby lives with his mother in her parents house. My son pays support every week. He sees him 2x a week and we have him at my house every other weekend. My son got papers today that the mother's parents are petitioning for temporary custody. I can't afford a lawyer - what should we do?

It says it can be sanded and painted. I just took a toggle bolt out of my wall and have this 1" hole I need to fix and paint. Has anyone used Mighty Putty to fix a hole in the wall? Any suggestions?
