So there is a sticker on my PC "Designed for Microsoft Windows XP"

My PC is Packard Bell dot s.

I want to switch fully on Ubuntu und give up on Windows. Is it possible in my case?

I am using Windows XP now and considering to switch into this freeware OS Ubuntu.

What possibilities do I loose by giving up on Windows XP?

I would like to know if he gives any performances this coming August in Tel Aviv or anywhere else in Israel.

I tried to google it הראל סקעת אוגוסט - no results. Also, his official page does not show anything relevant.

His FB page used to have a list of events. I can not see it anymore.

I have a problem with converting my birth date from the Gregorian calendar to the Jewish calendar.

It asks, if you were born BEFORE or AFTER the dark comes down (or some of them ask you, whether you were born in the MORNING or AFTERNOON/NIGHT). It is so because a Jewish day starts in the afternoon, as you know.

So I was born short after the midnight, around 1 a.m on the 10th of February. The day has just begun. Does it count as morning or night?

Can't really choose...

I need to apply for a place in the university these days and I am hesitating between these three majors which are Mechanical engineering, Electrical enginering, Computer Science.

To be honest, my favourite is the latter one. Probably, also because I know about this field more than others two.

I would like to create things and this is what fascinates me. Also, I am shy and not too much social person. I'd prefer to work alone rather than in team. Engineers usually work in team but software developers and such can write their programming stuff on their own, without cooperating much with the rest of the group. Furthermore, I am not sure if I am going to be accepted by co-workers as the most of them are males and I am a girl.

I want to do my work in a quiet atmosphere without others bothering me. It's not that I ignore people. I feel okay in small groups where people cooperate and exchange ideas. And I would very much appreciate it if I could stay away from speaking in front of too large amounts of people, insisting on my ideas or proving something.

Please, tell me your thoughts. What should I choose?

Sometimes my friend asks me such questions which make me think he is interested in me as a girl. Those questions are about my private life mostly. For example, he asked me about my previous relationship and if I am seeing anyone now. Also, he wanted to know, if I plan to get married and have kids anytime in the future. Those questions appear from nothing, suddenly during our usual daily talks. We discuss pretty much everything. So I am a bit confused what it all is supposed to mean.

In the very beginning, he let me know there is nothing could ever happen between us. And firstly, I thought, he asks me those questions because he is just curious about everything in this world. But well, it's hardly possible that someone would ask so many personal questions about someone else love life unless he has something on his mind. ..Am I wrong?

For example, if i want to address some my friends whom I love very much?

I am looking for comfortable shoes to wear them like all day long or so... I walk a lot, mostly on the city streets, but sometimes far away from the downtown, on the paths which are not so good. Sometimes I get wet weather as rains are not that rare here. In one word, I am a normal city citizen who needs to get to a lot of places during the day and therefore appropriate shoes are very desired.

So I was in the mall and tried those and they fit pretty good (I could easily walk in them for a few hours) but what stopped me from buying them is the suede upper which I think would be dirty very fast and requiere a lot of care.

I am just a student so I don't want to spend a lot of money on shoes so I usually wear boots for a couple of years until I wear them out. So I need practical shoes too.

Please, tell me what you think. Do I need to buy comfortable shoes with problematic (=suede) upper which on my point of view will look awful after I wear them for a couple of months?

For someone who has never been to Israel and wants to get to know the Israeli society and life better, would it be a good opportunity to volunteer on a farm somewhere in the country?

So I changed my name on FB not so long ago. It is now a shortened form of my real name. But I changed my mind and I want my full real name back.

FB says I am not allowed to do it now:

"You can't update your name right now because you've already changed it too many times."

I changed my name before, this is true. I wonder, was it the last time I could do it?

I don't want to contact FB staff because once they change my name I couldn't change it on my own in the future (Terms of Agreement).

So what solvation of a problem I can see here: I want to contact FB directly and ask them for another try to change my name manually, indicating the reason that it's not shown fully now. Is it a good idea?

Or do I need to wait .. a few months maybe? So it could become possible again.

It says, I have changed it way too often.

I don't want to ask FB stuff because then I could never change it by myself (there is such a line in the Terms of Use).
