if you buy a heater that has a built in thermostat that only puts the heater on when it hit 38 degrees - how do you know if it really works if it never hit 38 degrees

on yahoo finance message board when i go go the message board center - i'm missing the profile/avatar link - ignore link is there but nor the profile/avatar - haven't changed anything on computer - just isn't there anymore - have avatar pop up on other yahoo sites - but not finance message boards
