What I can't figure out is how to get that gorgeous drape effect. Do I pleat, do I gather? Or is there something I'm missing entirely? Please any detailed answers you could give me would be really helpful! Thank you!!

I'm really sorry to ask, I've been trying to figure it out on my own (I'm still learning) but I can't for the life of me put it together. I know a few of the words but...please help? I'd be very grateful.

Hello, I have a two year old Maltese that I adopted from my aunt and he's skin, bones, and fur. He's so underweight and I'm so worried about him. I've found out that they rarely fed him anything but scraps. He doesn't eat any of the dog food I've offered him. Sure he takes a few bites here and there but nothing substantial. However oddly enough he LOVES eating my cat's food! This led me to the conclusion that the dog food was too big for him, so I got him some of the smallest stuff I could find, he sniffed it then ignored it! I got him wet food, which he ignores! I even got him the special kind with beef chunks and such, he sniffed it twice and ignored it!

I've tried over 6 different types of food, but he ignores them. He's been living off of hot dogs for the last week or so, which I know can't be great for him but it's all he will eat. I've tried mixing the hotdogs with the dry food but he just ignores it.

I know scraps aren't good for him, and the things I eat aren't good for him so I don't give him any...It's as though he's completely repulsed by the scent of dog food, but he eats the cat food constantly, which I KNOW isn't good for him! (I've put the cat food on the counter so he can't get to it, but he still wont eat his own food!) Any suggestions as to what I should do? He needs to gain weight as soon as possible. He's lighter and smaller then my cat for Christ sakes!

Okay, I made sure to read a dozen online articles about this before I even let them meet. First off, the cat was here at my house first, and has been for about 2 years. She's about 3 years old and is an indoor cat. My aunt didn't want her 2 year old Maltese anymore, so instead of letting her take him to the pound I adopted him.

This was nearly two weeks ago. Now, the thing is, they don't fight. Hell, the dog is smaller then the cat but she still seems afraid of him. Sometimes she lets him sniff her and sometimes she goes up to him, but for the most part every time he goes near her she hisses at him. He backs off right away for the most part and it's not like he chases her around or anything, so I'm wondering why she still sees him as a threat?

I'm sure to give them both nearly equal attention so that she doesn't get jealous, and they're capable of staying in the same room together and being just fine. Hell, I'm comfortable leaving them alone together and knowing that she wont harm him.

I thought all was going well but now when he gets within a foot of her she hisses and raises her paw. Even when he doesn't come up to her, she'll go up to him while he's lying on the couch and try to bat or swipe at him! Is she just trying to play with him? I don't know what to do, I don't want to get rid of this dog but I can't risk her hurting him. I've trimmed her nails down just in case.

Simply put, is there anything I can do to speed up the process of her getting comfortable with him? She's being a bit bipolar about it and it's frustrating, not to mention frightening. D:

I have searched the internet and very few of my fears have been calmed. First off, I have a garden snake named Reno. He is two years old and over 4 feet long, that being said, he NEVER skips a meal. NEVER. But recently (the last 3-4 weeks) he hasn't been eating, at ALL.

I've been doing the same things as normal, but he just leaves his rat alone and after a day or two I have to throw it out because it starts rotting. I am incredibly concerned. I KNOW my snake. Something is wrong. I've been thinking it's because I don't let him out much, I have a cat and whenever she sees him she automatically thinks "OOH! DANGLY TOY. MUST BAT WITH CLAWS" and so I haven't really been able to give him some exersize. But that never stopped him from eating.

Plus where I go, the kitty MUST go so it's very hard to keep her out of the room without her scratching and whining and making a fuss.

Also, he lives in the same tank as he did when he was a baby. I think THIS might be the real problem. It's quite small for him now, and I suppose he isn't comfortable. I read that snakes wont eat and such if they aren't comfortable.

But tanks are extremely expensive and at the moment I can't afford a larger one for him. I've been making effort to give him more exercise but nothing has changed, he STILL wont eat. The rats are the right size for him, I'm sure of it.

Just a few minutes ago I took him out of his tank and put him in a large tub of sorts, I put some of his things inside of it and let him adjust to it, after about 10-15 minutes I put a thawed rat inside of the 'tub' and tried to dangle it and make it more appealing. Nothing.

He KNOWS it's food, he looks at it, 'sniffs' at it, then turns away. I have no idea what to do. I've tried cleaning his bedding, giving him time to adjust and trying another rat but NOTHING.

I'm scared he's going to starve to death, he drinks water just fine, but still...Any advice?

Btw, the temp and humidity are just fine for him, that's not the issue.

He doesn't have a dark space to eat, I tried to do this but he still wouldn't touch the rat. Plus he never needed a hiding place before.

Also, if I DO get him the new tank....will he start eating again? I need to know, the rats aren't cheap and I'm running low and out of ideas. Please help!!

I can feel dead tired and ready to pass out, then as soon as I lay down, if I'm lucky I sleep for a half hour and wake up and stay up for another hour before another half hour of sleep. Or I just feel wide awake laying there, until I get up then I feel like I'm going to pass out again.

I'm Fine too, nothing's been stressing me!

Okay, here's my problem. I just wiped my memory clean, fresh start, windows XP. I downloaded ALL of the drivers. Or I THINK I did. My issue is INTERNET. I have a cable modem, as well as a wireless router. They're both plugged in, and work, because I am on my dad's laptop. So the internet IS ALIVE. I just CAN'T for the LIFE of me get it to work on my DESKTOP. The one I reinstalled XP on. So, to put it bluntly: I CANNOT ACCESS THE INTERNET ON MY DESKTOP!!

Please, PLEASE help me out here! Step by step instructions, would be GREAT really.

Since I live in a very hot state, My snake's tank is reaching temps of 85 to 90 degs. It's a glass tank. I need to know how to cool it off. I leave the light off, and have a bowl of water in there. The air conditioner in my room doesn't help much. Anything else I can do?
