I was visiting a racing transmission builder and asked about turning a three speed automatic trans into a six speed by splitting the gears and he told me that it is done even easier by altering the valve body. I had not heard about that, but I think it could be done. If it only worked on one gear for instance lowering first gear or raising top gear it would still work for me. Has anyone heard of this being done?

Jaguar is famous for it's in line 6 and always used a different MFR for the V6 when if offered it. So who designed the V6 in the F-Type? Unlikely it is Ford as they are not invested in Jaguar anymore. Tata Motors? I doubt it.

I am making a Queen size bed and wonder if I will need a center support for the slats as I will not be using a box spring.

I drove a Volt the other day and when I asked if it was a Hybrid I was told no, that it wasn't but that it was an electric vehicle with a range extender, ie an engine driven alternator kept the batteries charged. Later I found out that the gas engine does indeed add forward propultion in some cases, when needed. That sounds like a hybrid to me. Is it?
