I've been dating this guy for 3 months now and I want to be exclusive. I know he's not interested in long-term commitment, but neither am I. He's made comments against long-term relationships and doesn't want to get married before 40. However, he has started to call me "love' and "sweets" and other terms of endearment, which leads me to believe this might be more serious than just hooking up. I also know his parents know about me. I've met his brother and he wants me to meet his baby nephew. (by the way- I'm 19 and he's 21)

So, is it appropriate for me to ask for exclusivity? And if so, how can I ask for it without coming across as needy or demanding? I don't want to scare him off.

I've been accepted to both Duke and Cornell. And I decided that I want to do engineering. Originally, I was between chemical engineering and biological engineering. I love both chemistry and biology and would love to study both in college (without double majoring... one engineering major is enough). At Cornell, both biological and chemical engineering are offered. Cornell was my first choice until I visited Duke. I fell in love with Duke, but it only offers biomedical engineering (or at least that's the only engineering that I think I would be interested in at Duke). How different are biomedical and biological engineering? How different will the job opportunities be after I graduate?

Both schools will cost the same for me

Duke is 7 hours from my house, Cornell is 17 (I do want to be somewhat close to home)

I'm a little uneasy about the Ithaca winters

I could bring a car to Duke as an upperclassman but not to Cornell (due to the weather)

I won't be able to live off campus at either school

Ok so I solved for the inverse.... and I got the original function. What does this mean?

y = (2x + 3) / (5x - 2)

x = (27 + 3) / (5y - 2)

x(5y - 2) = 2y + 3

5xy - 2x = 2y +3

5xy - 2y = 2x +3

y(5x - 2) = 2x + 3

y = (2x + 3) / (5x - 2)

How would i find the phase shift of this equation: y= (-2/3)cos(piX - 6) + (2/3)

Is phase shift the movement to the left or right? Or can it also be up and down?

Would I just take f(g(x)) and multiple that by 2? I feel like it's gotta be something else.
