I had my iPhone stolen/lost a few months ago, and now have a replacement Android phone. Anyway, I've managed to move most of the data that was on it onto my new phone, like contacts, music and texts, but the only thing I'm missing now is my notes. I have a backup from just before I lost my phone, which was how I managed to retrieve everything so far.

All the current guides I've found about moving over notes assume the iPhone is still in possession, which it is obviously not in my case.

I never synced my notes with Gmail for some reason, but since I had the backup, I know they're buried in the file somewhere.

So... Help, anyone?

Consider a stick x lightyears long. If I poke someone with this stick, must they feel the poke after a time of x years (or less), or, do they feel the poke instantly regardless of the length of our theoretical stick?

Perhaps more succinctly, how quickly does force propagate through a solid object? My guess is the speed of sound (in the medium), but this is no more than a guess.

I received an iTunes card for Christmas today, but have been unable to redeem it because the 'number is not valid'. Is it just me having this problem? When I click on the 'get help' option and enter my serial number, it says that 'redeeming is currently unavailable'.

Can anyone else confirm that it's not just me having this problem?

All I can remember of it is the video. The video is based around a girl called Angela who suffers abuse, until one day she's murdered by her parents, and the little boy, her best friend. that lives next door to her is too late to stop it (?). It's sung by this female vocalist who pops up at random occasions to sing the song and play the piano.

Topics I need to talk about are scenes and places, time and structure, mathematics, characters, the Hound of the Baskervilles, Asperger's Syndrome, the journey of Christopher, and the journey of the reader.

I've pretty much got them all overed, but is there anything else I should write about?

I know it can expand blood vessels and stuff, but are there any disadvantages?

For example, I saw something that said that laughing could trigger asthma attacks, but there doesn't seem to be much else...

I need it for a case study I'm doing. I currently have all the positive things, but barely any research on the negatives.

Well, I'm 14, and apparently, if I remember correctly, I can get a part time job or something.

Well, over the summer holidays, I want to be occupied since I'm not going anywhere exotic, and I'd like to volunteer in a nursery/kindergarten/playgroup, whatever. I don't expect or want to get paid, but I'm wondering... how would I go about it? I'm still a teen so it's highly unlikely that they'll be worried about me having a record for child abuse or something, but I'm not sure how I could just... volunteer? And will I have to have some sort of CV?

They're gonna think I'm insane, aren't they? What teen would give up their summer holidays to work with little kids?

But I honestly want to. ;-)

She's one of my favourite artists, yet it currently seems as if she's on indefinite hiatus. Does anyone know what she's doing right now, if she plans to release another album, or what? Since her last one completely flopped. Or has she stopped making music completely? Her official website hasn't been updated in about a year.

I want to try and make those fan vids/music videos that you see on YouTube, etc, but I don't know how. I can't use Windows Movie Maker because my computer doesn't have enough RAM to run it, and I can't find any other good freeware programs that would do the same job. Any help would be appreciated. Are there any other freeware programs that I could use?
