Situation: Power of attorney is granted to son of elderly widow without informing other siblings.

Question: If the mother is deemed 'unfit' to be in control of own finances for whatever reason, is it possible for the estate to be 'plundered' by the son for his own benefit or for the various assets (life insurance, bank accounts etc) to be hidden from the other siblings in event of the mothers death? Does the son 'in control' have to provide proper accounting by law? Is there a way of checking to make sure that all is 'above board'?

the pump concerned is the one with the ECU on top that always conks out. it controls, amongst other things, the imobiliser system. I've found out that vauxhall know this is a problem on the frontera and vectra particularly so have put a price tag of over £2000 on it. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER VAUXHALL. I've heard there is a 'after market' or recon unit availible for half this but not been able to find one. can anyone help????????????????????????????????????????????

my daughter has made herself acount administrator in addition to me..how can i change this to limited user and can i lock her out of the computer when i'm not about...this is the one area that she knows more than me! suprise suprise!

i'm going to set up in business and will be spending a lot of time in the congestion charge zone, with total mileage in excess of 20,000 per annum. vauxhall can do a conversion on an astra van for an extra £3000, but that will cost me over £350 pm in leasing over 3 years. are there any other financial reasons why i should lease a new van?i.e tax benefit, road tax?
