I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab4 and I downloaded the Facebook App, and the Messanger App so that I could occasionally check my messages without having to turn my computer on. I don't use facebook very much, and so I intended to keep the app OFF most of the time, and just open it now and then if i'm having a conversation or something.

The weird thing is, it seems to perpetually be ON.

I've tried opening the app info and pressing "Force Close" or "Force End" and closed it that way, but even after doing that, a friend tagged me in a post, and right away a notification popped up on my tablet for it.

I do not want facebook ALWAYS active, using up my data and bandwidth and constantly updating me about minor junk like that. Is there a way I can have it completely disabled when its closed, and only active when I open it?

I'd like to be able to keep my wi-fi active for other things without having to worry that FB is constantly streaming new information into my tablet...

I want to know how, and what programs were used to create this application.

The generator itself. Was it made in flash? Or is it with HTML and CSS right on the page?

This is a signature generator, for making signature images for forums. I want to build one of THOSE. The generator itself, not a signature. Is something like this done with website coding, or flash? Is there a way to do something like this in flash?

I'm basically wanting to make a generator almost exactly like the one I show in that link, but that makes much smaller signatures, so that you could stack 4 of them in your signature to show different characters, and it would take up about the same amount of space as that large signature that generator makes.

It doesn't seem like it should be too terribly difficult, please let me know how it is done :)

The pair I have has a really pretty, soft, knitted section at the top, and zippers up the side to help keep it snug. I love these boots so much, but it is hard for me to wear them because they are pretty high wedge/heels, and I have hip problems, and I'm also pregnant now so I don't feel safe wearing heels. I'm wanting to find a type of shoe that matches this style somewhat, but that are flat on the bottom, or at least not very high at all.

I also like the style of these, but not how high they are, I would want about the height of the first set.

I want very feminine, possibly Victorian-era or steampunk look to them. I wear long dresses and skirts and it seems really difficult for me to find shoes and boots that look nice with them.

Hi, going to try to be quick.

Intro: Me and my husband are thinking about cleaning up a old house that his grandma used to live in. It has been empty for about 4 years, and there is some mildew on the walls, and the stairs to the basement are pretty weak.

I have a list of things we'll need to do to make it livable for our 3month old daughter, such as,

Water Source Inspection

Electric Inspection

Inspection for Mold and Mildew

Along with generally cleaning everything and repainting many of the walls. (And replacing the stove and fridge)

So my question is, Have I forgotten something important? And also, does a home inspection normally cover everything all at once? And how much would it normally cost? (This is a very small house, 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, no upstairs, and a basement. )

I can't figure out what to label my position as.

I am a general artist, i do digital, traditional and artisan, such as wood-burnings, clothing, jewelry, ad such. I also do most of those things for commission, that is, you request a custom piece, and I fill it for a price/gratuity.

I'm trying to design a business card that features my portfolio site address, and my etsy site address, but I'm at a loss for what to call myself. I want to avoid terms like "Jack of all Trades" because that doesn't portray any of what I can actually do...

Any ideas would be great :D

I played World of warcraft, I'm an artist, and I have talked about my pregnancy and daughter on facebook.

So all the ads I see are for MMO Games, Art Schools and Pregnancy websites...

I don't want google to know all this stuff about me, and remember it. I already cleared all the history, cache, cookies and stuff, but it still remembers

I want all my ads to be random, like some of them are, Capital One Credit Card, The movies coming out soon, stuff like that...

I think it is a commercial for a Phone, or a Music Player. It has a man wearing ear-buds, he starts a song that has a strong beat and a male singer, singing short phrases. As the beat gets louder, the city around the man starts to break and things are flying all around him. He then gets a phone call, pauses the music (the city pauses around him) I think he says "I'm on my way" or "I'll be right over", he then plays music again and city continues to erupt, cars/papers/manholes flying.

At the very end of the commercial, when they show phone number/website for advertised product, there is a female singing something. THAT PART is stuck in my head, and I would REALLY love to find out what song(s) this is. Anyone?

I do art on request. aka a 'Commissioned Piece'.

I'm trying to update my site to show what each individual payed for that piece. But I cannot think of any words for the actual "payment"

I know things like 'fee' or 'price', but the payment is not mandatory, it is like, a donation and the person who requested the piece decides how much to pay.

What would good words for this be?

I have light eyes. Not exactly blue, and they change depending on what color shirt I'm wearing (I think it reflects it or something). But they go from plain grey, to light blue, to bright green.

My husband has bright blue eyes.

-I'm 17 weeks pregnant, and I keep having dreams about the baby. For some reason, 90% of the time, our child is female in the dream, and has short brown curly hair, and big brown eyes. The hair thing is plausible because curly hair runs in my family, and my husband's hair is moderately curly, and my family's hair is all very dark. But I'm just wondering about the eyes. I don't really care about the color, all I want is for baby to be healthy. It would just be interesting to know if I should stop thinking about the big brown eyes being a possibility.

My mom mentioned that she thinks its impossible because of "b's" in the chromosomes or something.

She said ->

Brown = Bb (or something)

Blue = bb

and so bb+bb = (no chance at big B)

I just want someone who actually knows about chromosomes and scientificly can tell me.

Stupid question, but I just want to know what they are called.

They are normally cute animal references or characters, it is a soft cap for your head, and then sometimes it has ears up-top, and long ear-like parts that hang down almost to your waist.

Sometimes though they don't have ears or faces though, and it is just a cute hat with exaggerated ear-covers. (Very Long)

I know FB changes stuff all the time, but my friend's pages aren't like this. I did recently add a couple people to my family, and they have not accepted my family request yet, is that why?

Okay. I'm 13 weeks pregnant. This is my second pregnancy, my first miscarried at around 11 weeks.

Both times I've had extreme constipation. This time I got a prescription for a stool softener and I've been taking it as needed. I still feel pent up though and I think the pressure is building too much. I can't kneel at church at all anymore because I get faint from what seems to be lack of oxygen, and my diaphragm feels tight and sore all the time. (Last time my chiropractor fixed this once, he said it was the stool buildup)

So pretty much the main question is, at 13 weeks, is it normal to feel some uncomfortable pressure down around the pelvic area right when you sit down? (Like everything is shifting upwards a bit) or do you think perhaps it is just the constipation and I should ask my Midwife about the dosage or other options? Or is it normal to have that shift?

(When I'm walking around or standing for a while I feel fine, but as soon as I sit down, it feels almost like everything was positioned too far down and has to be pushed back in once I hit the chair, And I'm not plopping down either, it pressures even when I sit down extremely slow and careful)

I've also not gained very much weight yet. But that might be just evened out because of how hard it is to eat as much as I'd like when I'm so backed up.

I do book reviews and I need to make a site where I can have a long list of books in a table. With information in each column such as; Name, Publisher, Date, Rating, Author..etc. And be able to have the name of the book link to a secondary page with its review. However, I can't seem to find any web-host that allows the use of sortable tables. (Where one would be able to sort the whole list by, say, Authors, alphabetically.)

I only know how to make tables with HTML, but if someone is willing to explain how to use Java or CSS to design the page that would be ok too.

Also I can't spend any money on this site.
