Hi...m using 81915ME gigabyte motherboard and with that using transcend DDR 400: 512mb of RAM. few days back it stoped working and display got distorted. I switched off the machine and installed ny old RAM which is 128mb DDR 333 mhz and works fine. I purchased a new RAM Simmtronics DDR 400: 512 Mb but when i boot my computer it dosent let me go intio the BIOS. Nothing happens, CPU fan starts but no beep comes out from motherboard. I dont know whats the problem..plzzz help me out.

i checked my hard drive with "chkdsk" command it showed 48 kb of bad sectors. Earlier it was 24kb, then i formatted with WinXP CD, it increased to 48 kb.
