So mezzos like Susan Graham have things like Sexy Lady by Ben Moore to finish a recital with...Zina Goldrich wrote the Alto's Lament (musical theatre rather than classical, but still great!!) so as a tenor, I'm wondering if there are any great comedy songs out there for me, preferrably of a classical bent, but happy with MT as well I suppose! It doesnt HAVE to be about the trials of being a tenor, but it'd be a perk, certainly! Thanks in advance!

I often hear that it's now possible to easily record your own songs and edit them etc on a laptop...I want to try this but I have no idea what equipment I'd need or what software I'd need. I have a laptop at least, but what microphones are best (and best value), what software should I use, what other equipment would I need (like those things they put in front of the microphone etc).....help please!!

I'm a singer and I'm wanting to start writing my own ornamentation for the Baroque arias I am performing/studying. I was wondering if there are any books or something that could help me write effective and show-offy ornaments that sound authentic, as I'm not sure if what I'm doing just now is actually remotely authentic!

The reason I want to start writing my own ornamentation is that the limited suggestions in the sheet music I use are really easy, boring and not very show-offy, and plus it would be a bit of an interesting challenge!

I've heard that Leontyne Price could go up to a very high E, but the highest I've heard her go on recording is a Db. In which recordings, and where in them does she sing higher?

I'm thinking of the series with Jeremy Brett as Holmes and David Burke as Watson that was on from about 1984-94. The theme was for orchestra and solo violin and was used throughout the series. I'm really wanting to find the sheet music so if anyone can tell me where I can get it I'd be really grateful! If there's a CD or something then all the better but I'm more looking for the sheet music. Thanks!

its a program i watched a while ago about this professional singer who formed a choir in a secondary school where they'd had no choir or music activities before...anyone know the name of it and what pieces they sang in China?

The description on many sites is unclear. Is "The Singer's Repertoire" just a list of songs and arias generally performed by classical singers published in 4 volumes or does it contain the sheet music of the songs, providing a vocal and piano part?

I have been waiting for the next CD after "Second Nature" and was just wondering when it is being released.
