What type of watch is this?
I would like to know what kind of watch this girl is wearing.

If you do not know the EXACT type or brand of watch, please do not answer the question.
And please do not send me suggestions about how to search for types of watches.
3 AntwortenFashion & Accessoriesvor 1 JahrzehntWhat do you call this type of art?
Is is not a style, but a way of composing the image.
It can be any medium, but is mostly in painting or illustration.
It is like still life, but all the objects in the picture have symbolic meaning. And the meaning may only be known to the artist, or known after studying the artist's life. It is a little like a picture puzzle.

I am looking for a book of fictional short stories about animals killing people which is told from the animals' points of view.
I recall reading a book review in either the Nation or Harper's magazine several years ago, but all I can remember about it is it was written by a woman, it (maybe) contained one story about a tiger attacking its trainer, and it was written without any moralizing. That is, it wasn't an extreme animal rights diatribe. It was merely philosophizing on how animals make choices based on survival, not morality.

If you added up all the hours it would take to watch all your videos, read all your books and listen to all your music would it extend past the average number of years you have left in your life? Factor in the average number of books, CDs and DVDs you will buy in each successive year as well.

3 AntwortenMoviesvor 1 JahrzehntStrange Movie?
I remember a movie from the 60s or 70s that involved a group of people getting lost at sea and finding an area of the sea that had so much seaweed in it they could walk on it by tying balloons to their bodies or shoes. They are captured by some pirates who take them to a ship which is ruled by a teenager. There is a trapdoor in the room with the teen's throne that has a monster under it that is just a big mouth full of teeth. Kind of like the sand monster in Return of the Jedi.
I think the movie was British.

Does anyone have a personal superstition that no one else seems to have? For example, Matt Dillon's character in "Drugstore Cowboy" believed that a hat on a bed was bad luck.
Please no cliched superstitions like black cats, broken mirrors, etc...

I haven't read any of the Potter books, so I'm curious if there is more info about the part of the contest where the students have to save the people underwater. Harry saved the French girl's sister because she couldn't. If Harry hadn't saved the girl would she have actually died?
7 AntwortenMoviesvor 1 JahrzehntMichael Richards comments?
I remember a couple other times in entertainment history when people nearly ruined their careers by saying something offensive.
I know of two instances, but I never heard what was actually said.
One was when Redd Foxx had a series in the late 70s and the other was on the Arsenio Hall show involving Paul Hogan (Croc. Dundee).
Anyone know the comments?

My grocer gets cherimoya sometimes. When I bought one and waited for it to get ready to eat, it just turned black and all the meat inside dried up. It never got soft to the touch like I've had before. Is this a fungus? How do I know when a cherimoya is good?

There was a novelty toy in the 80s that was a small, mechanized plastic aquarium that had actions that made it seem like there was an invisible barracuda inside (eg if you lowered a small fishing pole into the aquarium, it would be jerked inside). I remember nothing more about it.

Can you explain the appeal of Mickey Mouse. He seems to be popular only because he is popular. Can you think of something truly interesting about his character?

It was a long time ago, so the details are foggy, but at summer camp, the counselors did a trick where they lined up and passed along a cup of water and a toothbrush. Each person took a sip of water then brushed their teeth and spit in the cup. The last person had to drink all the water, I think.
Anyone know how this was done?

If people go to Heaven or Hell for all eternity, what happens when a person who dies leaves behind the love of his/her life, who later dies and goes to Hell.
Wouldn't that make the person in Heaven's life rather Hellish?
22 AntwortenReligion & Spiritualityvor 1 JahrzehntWho would you say is the most famous Japanese person in the world?
Don't think about the question too hard. Just write the name of the first Japanese person who you think of. Even if you don't know if the person is Japanese or not, just write down the name.
I just want names, so you don't have to explain why, or who they are.
