I can't get it out of my head since I saw the ad last night during an X Factor ad break. I'm sure it's from an 80's tv show, but can't for the life of me think of which one...

Here's the thing: After Easy Jet decided to withdraw the route I need to fly, Ryan Air is the only airline that offers direct flights to my hometown. Flying to another city would mean bus & train travel, most likely late at night, with a baby and luggage- not a very tempting thought :( . I've read lots of reviews of Ryan Air, and it's pretty much all bad- officially voted the worst airline in the world?!? Now what I like to know is, despite the appaling costumer service, delays&cancellations, dreadful website, crap luggage allowance and 25-minute turn-around which means dirty planes- do you actually feel SAFE on the planes? Are the pilotes any good? If you have flown Ryan Air with a baby before, would you do it again? If so, any tips to make it as painless as possible?

Hi. Will be flying to the UK with a 3-month old later this year and want to have the baby safely strapped in a car seat (category 0+) in case of turbulences. Can anyone recommend a suitable car seat (ECE R44/FAA - approved for air travel).

A lot of people on here refer to all Americans as Yankees. I always thought that 'Yankees' was just the nickname for people on the Northern side, aka the Union States, as opposed to the Confederate States (South); going back to the American Civil War. Am I right? Also, I know that there are a lot of jokes about 'Yanks' and 'Rednecks' going around, but in reality are there still any hard feelings left between North and South?

Coming to AUS in Sep(SYD&MEL). Booked holiday apartment in South Yarra(MEL)- is that a good area to be in, e.g. is it safe at night? Originally wanted to stay in St Kilda, but S Yarra worked out cheaper in the end ( for a good reason?). Obviously we read up on it before we booked, but I'd still appreciate any local knowledge you could share with me.

Also, whilst in Sydney we're staying in Manly. Only heard good stuff about it. Anyone disagree?

....and what are the chances of finding a huntsman(or one of the other creepy crawlers you've got) in our apartments? Not too keen on spiders... :( But I'm willing to risk encounters, not going to miss out on seeing Australia because of some 8-legged monsters!
