Okay- so my grammar isn't terrific. Here's the thing, English is her second language, we write notes to each other at the end of our shift. Instead of writing "took" she writes "toke" which is a very tiny difference but toke is a drug reference. So. Do I correct her just to help her avoid someone taking that the wrong way in the future, or just ignore it?

Just curious for thoughts on how things might have played out if Gore had chosen Kerry as his nominee instead of Lieberman.

Because Lieberman was Jewish is it possible the Florida vote would Not have been as close but they may have won Ohio instead?

And how would that have effected the 2004 race, since its unlikely they would have chosen a "losing" candidate as the presidential nomination- who would the democrats have gone after?

So I understand you can be fired for not standing all day at work. My employer verbally told me he didn't want to have to pay for unemployment so I should quit if I can't stand all day.

But can they just ignore A doctors note?

I'm asking this question again due to a few rude responses. I'm not trying to strong arm my employer, and I'm not just lazy. I like my job I just don't like being in pain and standing hurts.

We were given a chair to lean against at times but told me i was abusing the privilege because I was sitting while on the phone. after i brought a doctors note AFTER He's removed the chair completely and told us we can take breaks while needed in the office only. We are a hotel, we have no mandatory breaks. Is there anything legal or illegal about this?

My dad asked me for a 35 hour day for his birthday. I was thinking of making a cd with 35 hours of songs containing the word day. Or 35 hours of daybreak? I couldn't think of anything else to pun with "35 hour day"

Say you leave your car dome light on and the hotel your staying at notices as 2am. Should they call you and tell you? Should they wait until 6 to call? Or on check out?

So my boyfriends mother of three years sends me lots of stuff.

A bunch of gathered cedar or pine branches that people hang on their doors or buildings. Decorated like a wreath is.

I've been trying to think of it for a day and a half and the only word I come up with is swaddled which I know isn't right. . .

We have a door that locks so you can get out but you can't get in without a key card,

My manager thinks its "tacky" to lock the door at night when the desk is open.

I think it's general security to only let guests in at 2am.thoughts??

I am an hourly worker at a hotel. I work graveyard shift for around 4 months now.

I was started at a lower wage during the "probationary period" of 90 days.

I can't say I've been exemplary, but I'm also consistent and in a constant state of improvement over my time here. I also make around $2 an hour less than the state average for a night auditor in this class of hotel.

Should I email a request? Should I wait for the 6 month mark?

Or just suck it up and be happy I have a job I legitimately enjoy in this state of economy?

Is it immoral to be close with someone who is aware they are racist and believes it appropriate?

I severely disagree, but then again I have friends who hold immoral ideas about politics and religion that I can be tight with.

In the Christian community we have redefined rape to mean not just forcible assault but pedophilia- so a 13 year old cannot agree to sexual anything. I agree with this definition that that is rape. But for thousands of years this wasn't considered "rape" in society.

If we can make the determination that our society has change and therefore the definition of rape must change- why can we not make the determination that our society has changed and therefore our definition of marriage must change?

Reading through the New Testament I just don't see anything in there defining marriage in such ridged terms as what I've been told it says. Maybe I should seek a pastor?

Any verses or ideas that could help me understand the far right idealism behind a redefinition of marriage being against the greater good?

I work at a hotel and a guest checked in with a horse trailer. Turns out there's a horse in it and its around 43 tonight. Is this something I should be concerned with or is this completely acceptable etiquette when traveling with a horse?
